No X, both Shay and Wilson have told you this in person, not via letter. Date isn't important, context of obeying irregardless of what is right or legal, is what is important, as you already know, but, many looking on may not.

According to Snopes that letter originally was dated 1994 and showed up on the internet first in 2006.  The close resemblance of the teachers name (and actions) to Adolf Hitler and the date which corresponds to Adolph's birthday, has me believing that the letter is fabricated.  Contrary to popular belief, I have never got a similar letter from Attorney Wilson or City Manager John Shay.
