I created the Ludington Torch back in 2009 when I saw that the local media actively avoided any kind of controversial and newsworthy topics. They've only gotten much worse, that's why I fittingly call the local paper the City of Ludington Daily News (COLDNews). I also cover Scottville and other townships when time permits in order to bring awareness and resolution (hopefully) of the issues that affect them.
