The video X posted regarding the interviews on Dr. Phil is very interesting and I thought it deserved it's own discussion.

There is so much conflicting information about this case. Trying to arrive at a conclusion as to what really happened only leads to more questions. I find it odd that Sean's letter has not been verified as to it's authenticity and the conflicting information that Ariel has given  makes this case hard to figure out. I hope Dr. Phil actually follows thru and investigates the alleged Germany connection. It seems that this case has gotten even more tangled. Only Ariel and Sean know what the truth is and they obviously are not telling. I have to give Ariel's dad a lot of credit for trying to get at the truth even tho it may keep him and Ariel apart.

Here's what we got that confuses me:

1)  A note found in July 2011 in Sean's jail clothes:  no public word on it's authenticity as Sean's

2)  Two lie detector tests taken and supposedly passed by Ariel:  the existence is neither denied or confirmed by authorities, denied access to, in toto, by the Mason Co. Prosecutor and the City of Ludington to the public.

3)  A prison letter admissions:  no word on its authenticity as Sean's, supposedly retained by the police before its existence became known when brought forth by Ariel's mother.  Still no official comment.

4)  Underground adoption leads:  several found in computer forensic work of Ariel's and Sean's computers, that were never verified by authorities.

5)  Still, no release of information concerning this case by the local authorities, even after a trial that sent the father up the river for many years.  Citing continued investigations into murder, they fail to show anything beyond germinating seeds  found in a shoe that Sean may have been wearing that day, when he may have got rid of Kate.

There is a risk of divulging investigatory records before the investigation is over and before a trial has occurred, but once a trial has occurred, once reasonable leads should have all been looked into, my confusion can only be qualified as confusion to the handling of this case by our local investigators and the misuse of their position to keep their further inept handling of this case secret.

Good points X. Another thing is that Ariel admits to receiving many letters from Sean while he is in jail. Why haven't the police obtained those letters to try and glean some information from them. And the fact that Sean's mother thinks the baby died from heat exposure just adds to this entire mess. Is it possible, as Ariel contends, that the letter in which Sean confesses to accidentally killing Kate could actually be in the hands of Sean's attorney. If so then how could Sean's attorney be in possession of evidence regarding a homicide? So the question is, if the letter is authentic why isn't the letter in the possession of the police?

It has been LONG ENOUGH they should know about this last letter IF Sean wrote it or not by now.

And for ALL the letters as far as I know they read all mail going in and out of jail they also listen to ALL phone calls as well, come on sounds like someone is not doing there jobs...

I would have to believe that prison officials have their own copies of each and every letter sent to and from Sean, and any phone calls taped.  Sean isn't dumb, he knows this.  This is why these letters and phone calls mean little, and why that first letter pointing to adoption issued back in July 2011 should not have weighed so heavily in Sean's conviction.

Whoa... I've been in the "system" long enough to have seen several red flags in this interview with Dr. Phil. ARIEL - there's a reason people are comparing you to Casey Anthony. You're not doing yourself ANY favors. Seriously, if my child were "missing" I'd go to my own grave for her. SHAME on you for not takng a stand for her. Aside from all the back and forth, he said, she said BS - I'm pissed as hell with what I saw during this interview. You might think you can lie your way through all this, but let this be your little reminder that your not bluffing everyone. I'm onto you. Hope you can live with yourself.

PS - I'm sure the po-po are sitting back gathering their evidence on you. Keep opening your mouth - in the name of KATE. You (and Sean) owe it to her.
