Anyone have any information on the Special Land Use designation given for a  "Boutique Hotel" at 125 South James Street which is the address of the Blu Moon Bistro?

It was listed as one of the Highlights of the Planning Commission from 2015.

Did a quick search and can not find any info on this.

Listed on pg 101 City Council Agenda

God help us but I also see that the Planning Commission is also working with the LIAA on the Master Plan Project.

From the April 7, 2015 PC meeting

Marilyn Cunic, 104 Franklin St., owner of the Blu Moon Bistro, stated that currently there were three
apartments above the bistro. All three units have been renovated and are occupied with tenants. She said that
her request was to make it a boutique hotel, renting the living space by the day, week and month. She read the
zoning ordinance’s definition of a hotel and said that they would meet the requirements with maid service,
linen service and furnishings. The hotel would give guest the opportunity to spend the night downtown. They
will be within walking distance of downtown. She stated that all six standards of the special land use are being
met.
Nathan Peterson, 117 S. James St., said that he was in support of the special land use. He feels that it jives
very nicely with downtown. It encourages living spaces.
Ryan Reed, 115 W Ludington Ave., said that he would second both commenters on the issue. He is in support
of the special land use.
Close public hearing.
Commissioner Moloney reported that the committee met and did not see any problems with the special land
use.
Commissioner Moloney made a motion to approve the special land use as proposed, seconded by
Commissioner Greene. Motion carried unanimously.

Ty for the info X.
