A hearing was scheduled for Tuesday and postponed due to weather. Disappointed with CMU and Duke. Duke sure used the FOIA to give our Township Clerk way more work than necessary. We paid the fee, paid the Clerk and who know what the Attorney.

The good news is that it looks like the AWSG has a great case going into it for arbitrary and capricious acts in refusing to disclose the documents, and that your attorney is going to be paid by CMU when it finally gets to court.  And AWSG will more than likely get an extra $500, courtesy of Central Michigan University.

I encourage anyone who is an alumnus of CMU (like I am), to refuse to donate any money to them until they set this aright, and tell them that.  Their delay is going to cost them thousands of dollars alone in just attorney fees.

Do you mean the meeting was scheduled for yesterday 3-6-12? That's a long time to be waiting for public information. Does anyone know why CMU was chosen to do the study? In my opinion CMU has demostrated that they cannot be trusted by the public to deal with any part of the Wind turbine issue because they are taking a biased approach and are not representing the interest of the public. I bet Duke gave CMU a large cash donation to skew the information. The only reason CMU came up with such a high FOIA fee is that they thought you folks would back down when you got the outrageous bill. Good luck. You now have to deal with a corrupt University.

The problem is, it won't be CMU's money. It will be taxpayers, students and donated funds that will be covering the cost of this terrible inaction by what I use to think was a very good and trusted school.
