Here's that headline from last month: Great Idea!

Even though the money for this will be subsidized by state funds and they may have to follow certain guidelines to get it going, they aren't going to be cheap and they won't be looking for the types of renters that have recently been displaced in Ludington.

Rental inspection, as previously noted, is not necessary in a city our size to apply for these grants (the grants they have mentioned), but certain bureaucrats may show extra favor in doling out their goodies if the city leaders have such socialistic policies in place. You wonder why our roads are so bad here in Michigan, it's because our leaders have all this corporate welfare in place.
