I think that bird is nonchalantly flipping us the bird... hehehe
I know what you mean about the construction signs.... ever notice hows there's rarely any construction WORKERS to go with the signs though? The most construction that seems to be going on is constructing groups of signs.
It's like they say, Michigan has 2 seasons.... Winter and Construction... lol
Anywho, regardless of what some grumpy people say, I don't have an issue with the construction or having to slow down... just get a little annoyed when your driving through a construction zone and you don't see no construction... makes ya wonder sometimes :-)
This construction zone "folly" has been going on for several years in many other states as well I've noticed. I have a radar detector, quite modern, quite sensitive. If I do see workers, yes, I slow to the 35-45 mph. If not, I simply ignore now. Far too many LE's getting paid to ticket citizens for no valid safety reasons. The signage should be shuffled imho, when workers are present, have flashers going, when absent for days/weeks at a time, shuffle the signage and turn off the flashers. There is also a BIg Waste of $$$$$ being spent in this popular Fed. fund stimulus to fix roads that simply don't need fixing, for appearances of good, when it's simply wasteful. There are plenty of roads that DO need repairs, WHY not fix THEM FIRST?
yes I saw the grump on the other side.... that's why I didn't bother responding there. I'm not sure how your post got misconstrued into depicting you as a speed demon, Dave... but my mom always told me never to argue with idiots... so I came over here to respond instead.... hehehe.
I've seen construction signs with black drapes over them during the weekend when no one is on the site.... & I can understand why they wouldn't wanna drag them away for break times.... but it shouldn't be that hard to drape the signs when no one will be there for hours (or days). Maybe I just expect too much... lol
