Christine O'Donnell: Burn Her at the Stake... or Vote for Her

Oh my!  Recent Delaware Republican primary winner, and Tea Party favorite Christine O'Donnell has got some 'brooms' in her closet.

Here's her acting more like a serious candidate after her victory.

Are witches OK when they are conservative, or only when they are liberal?  So what say you

Dunk her under the water or have her sit where "Clueless Joe" Biden once sat?  Witches out there, feel free to comment.

Put simply, is her 'dabbling' in witchcraft as a kid any worse then a grown man taking part in KKK activities or someone telling lies about their Vietnam service?

So far, her dabbling in witchcraft and the anti-masturbation thing is a non-issue.. both are things she done in the past and I would believe its safe to say that most everyone has done things in their past that they are either not proud of or some would make fun of. I mean really, our current president did drugs... is not wanting to masturbate that big of a deal in comparison?
You know, Dave, until I read your post and X's below, I didn't even know about the masturbation thing, I just homed in on the witchcraft. Shows what issues you two care about.
Is that another of your left-handed compliments ; ) ?
I thought Master Bation was a martial arts instructor? Why is she against him?
Edie, you have to be a little more hands on if your going to keep posting here ;-)
all this talk reminds me of a series of governement studies showing socialism at times may solve some hard problems.

in 1993, the american government funded a study to see why the head of a mans penis was larger than the shaft. after one year and $180,000.00, they concluded that the reason the head was larger than the shaft was to give the man more pleasure during sex. after the US published the study, france decided to do their own study as well. after $250,000.00, and 3 years of research, they concluded that the reason was to give the woman more pleasure during sex. poland, unsatisfied with these findings, conducted their own study. after 2 weeks and a cost of around $12.64, they concluded that it was to keep a man's hand from flying off and hitting him in the forehead!
Nice
Somehow, I just can't take her seriously.
I haven't looked into this in any detail, but I do think the politically left will be going on a witch hunt over Miss O'Donnell for something she said over 10 years ago about what happened over 10 years before that. If she can remain poised and not be rattled by the unfair onslaught of the media, she can overcome these peccadilloes from her past, which do not define how she stands on the important issues of our time. If she were liberal, these statements on witchcraft would be a sign of her 'tolerance' by the same media that is on her case now.

As for the masturbation position (no pun intended), I read a little on this and agree with Kevin Williamson of the National Review: "In case it is not blisteringly obvious enough, it should be pointed out that Miss O’Donnell is not proposing a federal law banning masturbation. One can think all sorts of things are bad, or selfish, or undesirable, or otherwise to be discouraged — without also believing that there should be laws against them … For instance, one may believe that marital infidelity is wrong, immoral, and to be discouraged, and believe that this is an important public issue, to be addressed by both public and private means, without believing that we should revive the adultery laws … One can believe that pornography is a destructive force in modern life, campaign against it, argue for social sanctions against its producers and consumers, but still reject the idea that government should censor it …

Socialism is when The Man comes to your house with a gun and tells you that you are going to serve the community … Most people “give themselves” to “serve the community” in all sorts of ways that are voluntary: for instance, by having a family, which is precisely the moral context in which O’Donnell is placing her argument. Working to feed your own kids is not socialism; it’s family. Working to feed somebody else’s kids, by choice, is not socialism; it’s charity. Directing one’s sexual energies into marriage and procreation is not socialism, nor is it reducing one’s self to the status of a “cog in the wheel.”
