Back when Obama was running for President, it was said.. by Obama himself I think.. that America is a post racial country. Which most took to mean that racism was on the way out... I mean heck, we elected a African-American President and all. I'm starting to think though that it might of set things back abit having elected Obama. Now it seems people are hyper sensitive to racism, so much that you can barely say anything even slightly bad about a person of color without it being taken as a racial statement. This is specially noted in regards to most any criticism of Obama... if you criticize Obama then your apparently a racist... regardless of the fact that your criticism of Obama is based on his policies and has absolutely nothing to do with the color of his skin. People that think any criticism of Obama is racist are stupid. I use to enjoy Janeane Garafalo back when she was known as a comedian and actress and actually was doing stuff that was amusing. In recent years she's become a far far far left leaning liberal, so much so that I simply can not take her or her opinion seriously anymore. When she says that the Tea Party has nothing to do with over taxation and everything to do with a black man being in office, she hurts her cause and makes herself look stupid.
Myself, I don't have a problem with a person of any color. You treat me with respect, you'll get respect in return.

there is an old saying...I have found amusing....don't know who said it but I might try to find out....here goes...
[Quote: "I am not racist, I hate everybody" End Quote]
Laughing here Lando as that was a saying I heard much from my Grandfather who I spent much time with. I think it has to be a bosses creed sometimes as you are never going to make everyone happy so you must make sure at least the job gets done efficiently.
If you think about it Mz Peloci was very effective at her job of pushing programs. She just lived in a world aside from what the America Electorate seemed to want.
Dis maybe I am not reading you right are you implying 9/11 was an American killing American issues? Or that even counting 9/11 Americans still kill more Americans, or something else?
Are you just referring to crime and gangs and such with this point?
I tend to agree that hatred comes in many more forms than Racism. But not sure that this is a political condition but a human one that will never completely go away.
I think he means that if you look at crime statistics on who kills who, you will find that more americans are killed by americans than are killed by terrorists(even counting the # killed 9/11).
Americans =USA people
And even if you look at a different counrtry you will find say in brazil tht more brazilians are killed by brazilians than by others.
I guess that is my point Lando.. Using the stats that More Americans are killed by Americans . Would hold true and in much larger numbers in Any country making that statistic someone bogus isn't it?
During the Peak of the Iraq War more people were still killed by criminal violence in the street of any major American city.
Some relevant but slightly Magooed stats:
As of 11-30-10, there have been 4432 American casualties in the Iraq War in the 8 years of conflict. In 2008, Motorcycle fatalities in America were 5312, and until last year, there have been more pedestrian (vehicle) casualties per year than the 4432 war deaths. Americans kill more innocent, walking Americans per year through unsafe driving practices than through 8 years of war in a very unfriendly place.
Along with food stamps should be restrictions on what constitutes "food." The idea is to feed the hungry and keep them healthy, but how much of the food stamp budget is spent on chips, soda, etc., contributing to obesity and diabetes? Also, classes on budgeting should be required as part of the food stamp program so that recipients learn to stretch the money instead of spending it irresponsibly on expensive cuts of meat, ice cream, processed foods, etc. Federal and state oversight is lacking, and busy cashiers making minimum wage are not going to care what the person is purchasing with taxpayers' money. If we are going to dole out money to people to raise their standard of living, conditions need to be attached to that money. There should also be a cutoff to the gravy train just as with unemployment benefits. I've never been hungry nor have I been without food or money, and I'm somewhat ashamed that I don't have more sympathy for those who receive public assistance. I used to until I got out in the world and started to see the abuse that occurs towards our benevolent government (a.k.a. me and other hard-working taxpayers).
None of the above comments apply to those who are down on their luck and really need the help.
