I just went over to MT the other nite, and it appears it's closed up now, kinda like a Poop forum is going right now. Anyone in the know on how or what is going on there?, I know there wasn't much participation, like, real apathy, but, it did have it's place on the Lakeshore of talk forums, imho.

I'm going to have to get my credit card records out for that, Aq, but allow me to ask for an extension of up to ten days to check this out (as per the FOIA). I believe I paid $199.99 for 13 months of Ning Plus back in August.

Whether or not I get financial help, I think it was a good investment, and I appreciate all the members who invest their wisdom and time to the Torch. When earnest people add their two cents to the discussions, I get a little of my money back, I believe.

Good for you, thanks, but, albeit an old habit, don't be afraid to ask for donated funds to increase the membership, and of course the options available to members that care and do participate regularly, like our own music, not the hip hop jazz offered now, in the hopes of resurrecting a Real America!

Actually paypal uses email addresses and you can add email addresses if you wish. It does not go by name when people enter payment I don't think.

If there were a nominal fee to have the privilege of posting which is stated to cover cost of operating site growth, I really think the trouble makers would run out of finances after awhile...unless they have a bottomless allowance from the sugar mama(daddy) who support them so they can enter their liberal rants.

I think charging would be a way of deterring the trolls, BUT, if i had to pay the first time I came here just to get in I would have looked for entertainment elsewhere.

Now that I have been here I would not have a problem donating on a volunteer basis if it was needed to keep the site active, at least the forum part, as i rarely look elsewhere on the site. I go straight to the forum in the address bar and avoid the rest.

I would hate to lose valid members by charging right off the bat.

But to deter trolls I think it would be nice if NING had an IP logger, even if it were available as a widget or add-on. Maybe there is a third-party widget out there for doing that. Perhaps someone can look it up.

Please, no pay to play. Maybe a verification of identity system, like make a secondary FB account that people have to friend you on with there real name so you can check them out. Then if there FB account was not verifyable they would be denied entry.
