I'll happily let them vote.... as soon as they become legal citizens of this country. If I go to another country I'm pretty sure I won't get to vote in their elections... in several countries I'm sure it won't matter if you were a legal resident there or not, you'd still be denied the chance to vote.
Are voters ready to let illegal immigrants vote? A sizable number, including most Democrats, are.
The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that one-out-of-three Likely U.S. Voters (35%) now believes that illegal immigrants should be allowed to vote if they can prove they live in this country and pay taxes. Sixty percent (60%) disagree, while five percent (5%) are undecided. (To see survey question wording, click here.)
Fifty-three percent (53%) of Democrats think tax-paying illegal immigrants should have the right to vote. Twenty-one percent (21%) of Republicans and 30% of voters not affiliated with either major political party agree.
The U.S. Supreme Court has just agreed to hear a case challenging h... Texas currently counts everyone in the state, including illegal immigrants, before carving up districts of proportional population size, but the challenge argues that only eligible voters should be counted because the current system creates some districts with much larger numbers of eligible voters than others.
Sixty-six percent (66%) of voters agree with the legal challenge and say states should only count eligible voters when setting the size of legislative districts for voting purposes. Just 23% favor the current system in Texas that counts all residents including illegal immigrants. Eleven percent (11%) are not sure.

The survey of 952 Likely Voters was conducted on May 27-28, 2015 by Rasmussen Reports. The margin of sampling error is +/- 3 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence. Field work for all Rasmussen Reports surveys is conducted by Pulse Opinion Research, LLC. See methodology.
Fifty-five percent (55%) of voters think the United States is alrea..., but 17% say it is less democratic. Slightly more (19%) feel America is about equally as democratic as most other nations.
Women are more supportive than men of letting tax-paying illegal immigrants vote, but the two are in general agreement that the size of voting districts should be determined by counting only the number of eligible voters.
Voters under 40 are twice as likely as their elders are to favor allowing illegal immigrants to vote, but they, too, draw the line at counting illegal immigrants when setting up legislative districts.
Eighty-three percent (83%) of Republicans think states should only count eligible voters in setting the size of legislative districts, a view shared by 65% of unaffiliated voters and 52% of Democrats.
Eighty-two percent (82%) of those who oppose letting illegal immigrants vote favor counting only eligible voters when carving up a state into voting districts. Those who favor letting illegal immigrants vote agree but by a much narrower 45% to 39% margin.
Twenty-eight percent (28%) of all voters say it is too easy to vote in America today. Eighteen percent (18%) think it’s too hard to vote, while 49% rate the level of difficulty as about right.
But voters are more confident in the fairness of U.S. elections than they have bee....

What a bunch of bull shit. Where did they do the survey? texas? But then again, American citizens don't care to vote, doesn't matter Democrat or Republican. Myself, I'm with Trump, send the illegals back to where they came from, not just Mexicans. Build a wall, a prison cell wall , so they have a place to stay for awhile on there way back. I'm with Trump also with this anchor baby constitutional right . Who ever thought that up should have been deported.
Where do the pollsters find these idiots they gather information from. Who in their right mind would want illegals to be able to vote. I want them deported, not voting. What a huge gap there is between common sense and stupidity regarding many woefully ignorant Americans. I also agree with Trump and stump.
It's all part of the "New America" that Obama envisioned, and has successfully made for the last 7 years. We now must give up everything that our country has stood for since 1776. We are too greedy, too war-like, too selfish, too racial, too independent, too advanced, too educated, too environmentally aggressive, too insensitive, and so forth. The will of the independent self must subvert to the will of the masses. The Mexicans said long ago, that they would take back that part of America that justly belongs to them, without firing a shot. This is part of that warped theory that is now taking hold, one day at a time, one year at a time. America is imploding from within. We are cow-tailing down for the sake of feely-goods that are paid and programmed by top government officials to allow this to happen. It's not a strange nor foreign concept to us that have studied history. It's communism at it's best, and dictatorship at it's worst. And it's all inside our doorstep and lives now. Whether we ignore it and let it happen further, or combat it, is only a matter of time now. Thanks for the thread Dave, hopefully, it makes most people wake up to our current crisis of political revolution that's about to destroy what we as Americans have fought to preserve. Trump for President, before it's too late!
Do people really believe in these polling reports? Seriously??
What amuses me about this survey is that over half of all Democrats believe that if illegals can prove residency and show they pay (income) taxes, they deserve the right to vote. A significant bloc of Democratic voters do not pay taxes; do they believe they should be deprived the right to vote? I don't think so.
Enforcing the existing election law makes it so that the illegals can't vote, but that should be a moot point, since immigration law says they should be deported once their illegality is determined.
People like Ted Kennedy once said that illegal immigration should exist and be legalized. He went on to say that it would not change this from a predominantly white country to a brown or black one. Now the Democrats say that America is a melting pot and want to turn us into a more equally brown and black population. That sounds more like a smoking pot situation, than a melting pot, lol. The Democrats seek to solidify their power far into the future with voters that are here illegally, uneducated, low income types that seek handouts, and people mostly of third world backgrounds. Fact is per statistics, we now turn away most Europeans in place of third world people, in order to achieve those agendas. People from third world countries are predominantly socialistic, not democratic like the USA. Most third world people have no intention of adapting to being an American, they prefer their own country's language and customs. Therein lies the problem for America to put this to an end, or suffer the future consequences.
