Why was a public record recently deleted from this site?

Should certain public records be allowed to be hidden from public view and deliberately withheld from public discussion?  A well known judge recently professed on public television that most criminal convictions are public information except to protect certain innocent victims and minors.  But what about the guilty?  What GOOD is the Freedom of Information Act when certain individuals are allowed to HIDE their own illegal activity

Cyndi,

Is there ever a legitimate reason to delete public records? The FOIA serves a purpose because it allows the public to have access to certain facts that other people might try to keep hidden. It is not libel or slander to post public records, especially when the public records are 100% true. There are several publicly posted usernames that have been under scrutiny including Behr, Disarm, Barry, Casey, xlfd, Aquaman, Edie, and a few others. If people are honest about who they are then they have no reason to fear public records. Or do they?
And I will tell you again, allow me to send you a private message with the information.
WTF are you talking about? I don't see anything missing.

Coming from someone who is not even using there real name what you are complaining about is pretty meaningless.

If want to see someones public record you better be ready to put your own up too. Otherwise you are just a bully.
Please don't come here to stir up trouble. Maybe you should come clean with who you are and what you are after.
I'm not wasting my time on this one. Everyone has the same bodily functions and smell pretty odorous at times.
Public Record,
This is a private NING site, and we do not generate any public records, and we do not have the power to delete public records we have not created-- that's more of a government power, LOL. We do have the power to delete content that does violate the Terms of Service.

I expect you are referring to a posting from a person named "Old Man" both which were deleted by Edie Lindsey. She had judged it was violating the privacy of one of our members, and from what I heard about it, it was. If you wish to Google the name of one of our members, and wish to splash any dirt, without context, in this forum about them, then expect more links to public records to be deleted.
sounds like someone is wanting to be a cyberbully. lets all put in for a collection so that pubic record doesnt have to shake down kids and get there lunch money.
Dittos Charley, lunch money indeed, har.
The Terms of Service are right down in the bottom corner of this website, and they are listed once you click it. BLTs with Gray Poupon who run Watered -down Broth websites take note.
:)
What terms did the link violiate? The link is a public record. The posting of the link and the information contained within the link did not expose anybody's real identity that was not already available in the member list. The information in the link did not attribute a real name with an alais username.

What terms did the link violate?
Probably 99.9 % of local citizens would not have known Jen's real name if it were not exposed here. Why was it allowed to violate Jen's real name here? Nobody would have known until it was exposed by the XLFD person? That was without question a clear violation of terms.

The DOUBLE STANDARD exists on the TORCH.
