I'm going to try and post a Quote of the Day every so often.. might be everyday, might not.. if I see a good quote I'll post it. If any of you see a quote that you think would fit nicely here, feel free to post it.

Here's today's quote:

"If the freedom of speech is taken away then dumb and silent may we be led, like sheep to the slaughter"

Very good one Dave!

You posted yours at the end of the day, and it is very appropo for the anniversary of our site which strives for free speech, so I will post at the beginning of the next:

"...each candidate behaved well in the hope of being judged worthy of election. However, this system was disastrous when the city had become corrupt. For then it was not the most virtuous but the most powerful who stood for election, and the weak, even if virtuous, were too frightened to run for office.”

-Niccolo Macchievelli

I agree dave about freedom of speech, but their those that yell about their right for freedom so speech and will not any other idea but theirs be heard.  They will yell down another Idea.

"It doesn't do good to open doors for someone who doesn't have the price to get in. If he has the price, he may not need the laws."

-Ronald Reagan

A commentary originally about race in America, expresses my thoughts on Ludington's new closed door policies on public information.

The income tax created more criminals than any other single of government

Ronald Reagan: nine most silliest words uttered is: "don't worry, I'm from the government to help you". And: "government isn't the solution, it's the problem". Seven most sobering words by RWR. Btw, if you didn't vote or like RWR, please, tell me and the rest why. Thanks. Always open to discussion and civil debate.

I was not old enough to vote 0.o

funny!
"A liberal is someone who feels a great debt to his fellowman, which debt he proposes to pay off with your money."    -- G . Gordon Liddy.

There are some ideas, proposed by mad men and perpetuated by the unaware, that probably required they  be shouted down.

There are some people that have a "Kick Me sign" On their Backs for a reason other bad comedic entertainment.

There are some folks who needed to be committed for the welfare of the world, rather than just kicked out of Academia.

Why is it Academia seems to have more that the general public's share of Loons? Should we investigate this more thoroughly now that a flunky wasn't appropriately pigeon holed as some want done now to conservative talk radio?

I find this quote to be particularly relevant under the circumstances of what happened in Arizona:

We must reject the idea that every time a law's broken, society is guilty rather than the lawbreaker. It is time to restore the American precept that each individual is accountable for his actions."

-Ronald Reagan
