Tooling around town, I noticed several City properties that could use a little off the top. The lots weren't completely uncut but there were enough weeds to warrant a penalty. The white stick has black tape at the 12 inch mark. What's good for the goose is good for the gander my grandma would say. So quack you City leaders.

From Grassablanca, or was it Casastonia.

Funny X. I see that another ill tempered tourist visited town today. I wonder how the tourist knows their way around  so well? Rumor has it that it's Shay's cousin's in law with whom he's been feuding with for 20 years or so. Keep those weeds cut Shay and maybe they will leave town to go bother Scottville.

Keep an eye on Ludington visitors with grass stains on their knees carrying a yardstick with electrical tape on it.  Wait, maybe it was 'Eye on Ludington' testing out his new camera; that rascal was always jealous of your photography skills, Willy.

Tourist from Hell, you cannot possibly be telling us that the City-owned properties above (and the public community garden, now a possible future construction site) have grass that easily crest the 10 inch mark on them?  This is obviously some trick with perspectives or such.

If not, that's six violations right there, or $2600 in fines alone.  It looks as if the City of Ludington is what our city officials dub one of them there "frequent fliers" as far as keeping their grass in check.

Their so busy sticking their nose in everybody else's property they forgot to tell the city contractor to mow the city property. I would think that the city would have all their properties looking like a golf coarse green before any citizens property was trespassed upon.

Stump, don't you get it that those ordinances they make only apply to you, not them?  You can't have a backyard fire totally compliant with all federal and state fire codes without worrying about some LPD reserve officer or LFD volunteer firefighter in the neighborhood shutting it down on a whim.  The signs down at the beach says you cannot have even small fires on the beach, and the LPD beach patrol will surely write you up if you do.

Yet, the City of Ludington and the CVB promotes, sponsors, and trumpets their bonfires on the beach, complete with loud music they also disallow to everyone else.  They can ruin other people's quiet enjoyment of the beach, but you cannot.

So if the paving over/planting of the West End natural dunes area takes place, are we to expect a weed-infested overgrowth just like the "Community Garden"? How nice.

Any problems with the West End and the invasive, non-native plants they propagate will be introduced to us by Shay and Mrs. Tykoski as the new natural setting, ready for new events and exploitations.

If you missed the last meeting on May 9, I warned the city that there was several of their properties that needed their grass cut.  As usual, they either didn't listen or take it as a warning.   So the city should have been aware of their own policy that they printed in the paper in early March, had over a weeks warning on correcting the issue, and still allow the grass to grow well beyond the ten inches.

This is reminiscent of last year's showing:  Hypocrisy in the Tall Grass.  The community and I thank you for pointing out this year's disgrace, Tourist from Hell, if that's really your name.

I applaud and respect the author of this thread for their passion for justice and caring about Lud.. Nice pics. and time and effort to duty for us locals, thanks.

To be honest these lots were mostly cut but there were obvious areas on them that would have called for a violation on any other private lot. The city needs to set an example and keep their property spotless if they are going to hammer others for violating any ordinances.

Tourist from hell, WOW, I think that you are me, but I know you are not! LOL, You are the type of people that Ludington needs to get things right, not a concerned locals group! She got so mad at me because she is city owned. Oh well the greater good will prevail! Tourist from hell, invite your friends/family, Strength is in numbers!

Not sure if I posted this already but same WWTP fails and lack of maintenance! Sure hope we can get by and make the West End project prevail, because it is so much more important then sewage spewed all over "pure Ludington"! Guess I am angry and this video enforces it because this is the Ludington I have grown to love!

Miss this Ludington!

Breaking News: just heard the COL fired their last 9 year lawn maintenance guy, end of 2015, and screwed him out of $16K big ones. Nothing he did wrong, but Shyster Shay again claims the COL is in the poorhouse, liar liar! When asked to have a mtg. to work things out, contractor was yelled at by Shay and told "it's too Damn late now". So, the COL is going back into mowing their own lawns now I guess, and their work is off to a great start. There was also talk of selling to much profitable Lk. Mich. water to PM Twnshp, pissed the DNR off and got the COL a high fine, that's why Shay was saying they are broke, liar liar!
