There used to be an old ferry out of Charlevoix that went to Beaver Island. That boat was old 25 years ago. I wonder if this one took it's place or is in competition? Gotta take that drive up there again some day. It's so nice up there in the summer too.

Ok RJE, I remember them advertising for captains to hire for this and a couple other like ships in that area this past year. According to my info., they wanted the Capts. to work for petty wages, and be certified, licensed, insured, and with alot of experience. I was looking at it close at first, then heard it was a cheap skate outfit, not worth the bother and my expense and trouble to travel.

I talked to one of the guys in blue shirts and he says his vessel works out of Charlevoix taking passengers on day cruises. It brought passengers who were spending the night in Ludington. He said it as a very rough ride. I think there should be more of these boats.

Looks like a miniature tourist cruise ship. Anyone know where it docks and sails?

I saw that last night on my way back from a bike ride, and was so excited I was going to go home and take a picture. Thanks, RJE, and congratulations new transient dock!
