Ok, its getting a bit silly now... when will our more liberal friends figure out that the reason they lost so many spots in the last election was because of policy, not because the president is black. If so many people were racist, we wouldn't even be talking about a black president. Hopefully the fine people of Virginia will vote this twit out at the next opportunity.
WASHINGTON (AP) -- Democratic Rep. Jim Moran of Virginia is saying his party's November election losses were partly due to voter antagonism toward a black president.
Moran, a 20-year House veteran, made the remarks Tuesday to the Arab television network Alhurra after President Barack Obama's State of the Union address.
Referring to widespread Republican wins in congressional and state contests, Moran said "a lot of people in this country, I believe, don't want to be governed by an African-American." He said that was particularly true of a liberal president.
As some groups criticized the remarks, Moran's spokeswoman Anne Hughes issued a statement defending him, saying it's no secret the U.S. "continues to struggle with racial equality." She says Moran thinks it's better to discuss than to ignore such issues.

What folks should realize is that a lot of people in power must keep the idea of racism alive so they can make a living off of it. People like Moran, Hughes and most of the Democrats think they must keep the race card in play. They are the ones who are racists. Like Dave said, if this were a racist country we wouldn't have a black President. A lot of minorities use racism as an excuse for their own failures. How easy it is to blame whitey for your lifes problems.
One could easily point to two counter-examples of Moran's hypothesis. Newly-elected black Republican congressmen from the deep south, Alan West and Tim Scott, shows that Republicans are cool with 'being led' by black men-- or any other color of man whose ideas are sound and conservative.
