I was greatly saddened by a recent message I was sent from a frequent contributor to the Ludington Torch who has been with us since 2009.  They have suffered a medical setback and are in a very weakened condition.

This person has a long history in the Ludington area, with a family that personified the best of the area.  His contributions to the Ludington Torch have been often profound and always interesting.

Their help was very much appreciated when I had made a bid for Kaye Holman's City Council seat.  They were able to secure quite a few places to put my controversial campaign signs, and was able to go down to City Hall when I couldn't do so to get those same campaign signs from an overzealous code enforcer that never showed up in the same capacity for this last election in 2012.

They have always been generous in their talk, eliciting favorable responses from conservatives and libertarians, and generally being the bane of those who come on here as trolls or spouting liberal lines.  They have solid, well-founded principles, and always comes across as a person with a high quality of character.

I am reluctant to say their name, knowing that they might not like the extra attention, whether it be good or bad attention, but they are definitely in my thoughts and I hope and pray for their immediate recovery.

I hope these cartoons and pictures that may give a little of a clue as to who I am talking about cheers them up at least a little, because as the Reader's Digest says:  "Laughter is the Best Medicine".

Send them some good mojo if you can by shipping them a get well message, or add another photo, video or .gif file that shows them you care.  They can't spend a lot of time in front of the computer.

I am confused with all this subliminal messaging - lol

Wishing him a speedy recovery.

You can't miss the steelhead run so get well soon.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Get well soon.

Thought you said you feeling better last week? Let us know.

"The Invisible Monster" -- perhaps the most awesome cartoon ever produced.  I own this set too.  The first season of Jonny Quest has never been equalled in half hour cartoonery.  I'm sure Aqs a fan.

Get Well Dude!

Glad to see you looking in, Mr. Fin.
