From the accounts on the Presidential election tonight it sounds like Obama got the nod? Does anyone else have confirmation of this breaking news after Midnight? If so, this betrays a lot of what Americans needed and desired for a change in course, and might just make things much worse in the horrific future. I can't say I can believe it's true, must be sleeping and dreaming nightmares, or am I?

2. Most economists say that Obama has compounded the problem by burdening the U.S. with massive debts and the proliferation of printed money that has no backing. They say inflation will set in leading to a financial collapse of the dollar and it's only a matter of time.

3. I was not in favor of Iraq so the sooner we got out the better however Obama did start a minor war in Libya.

4. The hunt for Bin Laden was initiated by Bush and it was Bush's strategy, method and plan that Obama used to get Bin Laden. Obama just happened to be sitting in the White House when it happened. The military takes the credit for this one not Obama.

5. I think your referring to the "Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Restoration Act" which extends the time a person can file a discrimination complaint regarding equal pay. I have no complaints about that.

6. I haven't found any evidence that Obama "saved" social security". Could you post a link regarding  your claim. I do know that both Party's are guilty of robbing the SS system which should have had plenty of money and should not have been in danger of going broke. The way these 2 party's drained SS is a National disgrace.

Ronald Reagan?Bush?, Naturally I would expect all of these well known Republican examples of honesty, virtue, and sterling character to be representitive of your standards for... for what?. 1. As Willy said, the auto industry isn't saved yet... while Chrysler has for the most part paid back what they borrowed, GM is a different story... Regardless of what Obama says. GM owes around $25 billion and has a ways to go before they will 'be back'. Currently GM stock is fluctuating between $20 to $25.. for the company to get back to being profitable, it needs to be around the $45 mark.

2. Remains to be seen if we are out of the mess or not. If the economy doesn't take a serious uptick in the relatively near future, we might still get a depression. And no, it doesn't take an economist to know this... just a bit of common sense which seems to be lacking in a lot of people these days, particularly the ones in DC with the D's, R's and I's behind their name.

3. Assuming your talking about Iraq, last I read Bush did get congressional approval:

Whether or not we should of went there will be a question that will be debated for plenty of years to come.

4. Obama didn't 'get' Bin Laden.... he gave the order to get Bin Laden. Some sources say he wavered on making that decision on a few occasions... we'll probably never know  for sure though since the most transparent administration has proven to be more like the most opaque administration. Anyway, if it hadn't been for intell collected during the Bush administration, the killing of Bin Laden might not of happened. With that said, both Bush and Obama should receive congratulations for finding Bin Laden.

By the way, it was SEAL Team SIX that 'got' Bin Laden

5. There is a number of things that need to be considered in regards to the fair pay act your referring too. Experience of the person in question... Time in position... Overall worked hours per pay period/year... Experience of male counterparts as well how many hours they work per week/Year.... How long the male counterpart has been in position... There are other questions but this hits on most of them. IF a woman can meet the criteria where she has worked in the same position for the same amount of hours overall over the course of her career then by all means she should get equal pay. Apparently there are not that many women that fit into that category though as the last I heard there have only been a handful of cases filed since the Ledbetter Act went into effect 3 years ago.

6. Until 2050 arrives we wont know if SS was saved. Assuming you don't have a Delorean with a Mr Fusion on the back and a Flux capacitor behind your head, you wont know for about 38 years like the rest of us. With the government and its spending issues the way they are, I'm not holding my breath on that 2050 date.

7. Whistle anything you want, still doesn't mean this government is worth a crap, I say fire all of them and start over   :-)

How the vote breaks down per States. All I can say is the U.S. has a majority of fools. And thank you Wayne county for giving us 4 more years of "change". It was Wayne county that gave the margin of victory here in Michigan to Obama. No surprise there.
