DNC chair Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz blames Tea Party for Tucson shooting

You'd think that the higher ups with the democratic party would of had opted for someone a bit more experienced and less likely to say silly things. Wasn't that long ago that she said "“If it were up to the candidates for president on the Republican side, we would be driving foreign cars", although it was soon discovered that she wasn't exactly a supporter of American built cars either as she drives a 2010 Infiniti FX35 made by Nissan, a foreign car company. Wasserman Schultz seems to have a double standard when it comes to certain things too... in particular, this last Sunday, she appeared on Chris Wallace's Sunday Fox show and couldn't seem to see where the president has done any wrong in regards to the Solyndra issue yet she couldn't help but blame Mitt Romney for all the wrongs of Bain Capital, regardless of how many businesses Bain might of saved from going out of business. Check out the conversation between Wallace and Wasserman after the main story here.

Anyhow, regarding her claims, its been shown that as far as political motivations go, there were none in this case. The gun man has a lot of issues and was obviously not doing what he did with any allegiance to any political party.... he was simply in a mental state that made him very dangerous. As an independent voter, I'd hope that the powers that be in the democratic party replace Wasserman Schultz with someone that can handle the job before she runs off to many potential voters... its pretty obvious she is in over her head.

Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, D-Fla., speaking in New Hampshire this morning, reminded her audience of the tragic Tucson shooting last year -- and also insinuated that the Tea Party, which she said regards political opponents as "the enemy," has enhanced divisiveness in Congress and had something to do with the shooting, at least indirectly.

"We need to make sure that we tone things down, particularly in light of the Tucson tragedy from a year ago, where my very good friend, Gabby Giffords -- who is doing really well, by the way, -- [was shot]," Wasserman Schultz, the Democratic National Committee chair said during a "Politics and Eggs" forum this morning. "The discourse in America, the discourse in Congress in particular . . . has really changed, I'll tell you. I hesitate to place blame, but I have noticed it take a very precipitous turn towards edginess and lack of civility with the growth of the Tea Party movement."

Having brought up the Giffords attack as a political cudgel, Wasserman Schultz doubled down on that attack. "You had town hall meetings that [the Tea Party] tried to take over, and you saw some their conduct at those town hall meetings," Wasserman Schultz said today. "When they come and disagree with you, you're not just wrong, you're the enemy."

Warming to that theme, she added that "when they disagree with you on an issue, you're not just wrong, you're a liar."

Giffords' shooter, Jared Lee Loughner, was eventually discovered to be a mentally unstable loner with no i... and a serious alcohol problem. In 2007, he had attended a forum and asked a question of Giffords, which she had not answered to his satisfaction.

And not for the Wallace/Wasserman Schultz debate......

Wallace: Is the president responsible for laying off the people at Solyndra?

Wasserman-Schultz: No, because the president wasn’t the CEO of Solyndra. The—Bain—

Wallace: Well, Romney wasn’t the CEO of these companies either.

Wasserman-Schultz: No, Romney—

Wallace: The president was—excuse me—the president was a venture capitalist. He put taxpayer money into Solyndra and a thousand people lost their jobs. So is the president responsible for the thousand people who lost their jobs at Solyndra?

Wasserman-Schultz: Not even close. But Mitt Romney is responsible for being CEO of companies that he took over, that he dismantled—

Wallace: He wasn’t the CEO, he put money into them.

Wasserman-Schultz: No, no, no. He was the CEO of Bain. Bain bought these companies, took them over—

Wallace: Well the president’s the CEO of the country.

Wasserman-Schultz: But he’s not the CEO of Solyndra. That’s a total apples and—

Wallace: And Romney wasn’t the CEO of Ampad or these other companies.

Wasserman-Schultz: But Bain Capital owned those companies. He made the decisions—

Wallace: So you’re saying the president has no responsibility for what happened at Solyndra?

Wasserman-Schultz: What I’m saying is that Mitt Romney as CEO—

Wallace: I’m asking about the president.

Wasserman-Schultz: No. Mitt Rom—the president—

Wallace: Has no responsibility for Solyndra.

Wasserman-Schultz: The president has responsibility for the green jobs program where he made investments, but—

Wallace: And how about the company, Solyndra, that went bankrupt?

Wasserman-Schultz: But the decisions that were made at Solyndra that ultimately led to their bankruptcy were those of the people who work for Solyndra. Mitt Romney—Chris, let me answer your question, please—

Wallace: Well, I think you did answer the question.

Wasserman-Schultz: Mitt—Mitt Romney had—it’s total apple-oranges comparison. Mitt Romney—

I was able to track down that Chris Wallace interview on video, where she makes some other specious claims:

Jared Loughner's motive was not based on anything other than insanity, and a fixation on the congresswoman that existed before the Tea Party was even part of the national conscience.

She is so sadly inept.. how she even got chose for the position is a mystery to me. Its one thing to support her boss and all but you have to base it on fact too. To just try and continually make it sound like things are a lot better then they actually are without admitting that the guy has failed at all, its just not reality.

Wallace is actually asking questions that require the Democrat to use her head and think.

And that is why she fails.

If the democrats want to keep her as the face and voice of their party then they deserve all the gaffs already made and those that are sure to come.

She gives trolls a bad name.
