Just curious.. Does Mason county have their first installment of Wind Farm energy yet?

Many in this area are taking a low profile dip into renewable energy and slapping solar panels on their homes . If you use micro inverters you can slow down your grid electric use-age by about 1/3rd without mortgaging said home. Whether this translates to the things paying for themselves before they come to the end of their useful life is yet to be determined however.

Please post a few pics if they are up so I can determine whether Ludington should still be a destination for my next great white north trip?

Aquaman. I spent a lot of time photographing those hills and orchards and now I'm not going to waste my time trying to avoid getting those turbines stuck in my pictures, so I will be taking photos elsewhere.

At least a few of the god ugly turbines are up and running now. The last couple days I've noticed a few of the blades turning, albeit pretty slowly.. you almost have to sit and watch to notice that they are actually turning.

I saw that two days ago, it was fairly windy, and the turbines were turning slowly.  They must have some braking mechanism on that only turns them when it might damage the propellors to not have them turn.

The blades can be rotated so they do not catch the wind. This is a safety mechanism for dangerous wind conditions and that is where the blades are set as of now until the electrical distribution lines are completed, set and activated.
