To me I think it is despicable that people water lawns at all. With the resource of water being so important for our survival it sure seems like a waste to use it for grass. It seems people who live in regions where grass is not natural(desert out west for example) should not try to grow grass and waste thousands upon thousands of gallons of water and should instead try to make their landscape fit into the natural environment of the land where they live.
Whenever I go into town and see sprinklers shooting 50% of the water for the grass out onto US10 at certain locations I think about how irresponsible those people are being with our fresh water supply. the fresh water supply won't last forever, and studying about it is quite the eye opener.
Bottled water is another disgrace on our society. There is a film about how the Nestle company really screwed over the residents over by Evart by contaminating and wrecking peoples wells and water supply's.
Ridiculous, but it begs the question:
Are 476 foot wind turbines 'suitable' for Riverton Township in places where they can be seen?
The Zoning gurus of the Mason Co. Planning Commission unanimously think so. Yet, they say many mobile/modular homes are not, and find issue when the Hackert's try to add on to their existing buildings and create jobs. Time for most of the regular commissioners to finish ignoring the people, and agree on unsafe setbacks for these behemoths.
