Glad to see that the citizens of Ludington have some intelligence... either you do what you need to in the allotted time or you don't, this isn't NYC, no Bloomberg asking for and getting an extra term.

Thank God for this favor anyhow, after all that happened in the last 12 hours or so.

It turns out that Kaye Ferguson is deeply disappointed that her proposal didn't pass. Her disappointment is everyone elses pleasure to the tune of 2 to 1.  Good bye Henderson, soon.

Its funny how hidden this story has been on the LDN.  I was looking for updates on it all night and morning and now I finally see it at the bottom of their top news stories.  I am shocked there wasn't any tampering going on with the votes for this proposal.

It pleases me to no end that those that backed the City Proposal  spent  a lot of their money trying to ram this thru. But they'll probably write in off as a business expense.

I am truly surprised that it didn't pass. I figured the majority would feel if the mayor was ineffective they could always vote him out.

It would seem to make sense however in my experience I have seen those in power successfully manipulate public information by either lying or thru fabrication. And when the local press refuses to uncover or investigate the underbelly of Government because they are intertwined  with them you have a recipe for corruption. Ludington is a perfect example. X has tried to get "public" information and has been continuously thwarted. He has been a lone voice in raising awareness about what local politicians have been up to and his reward has been banishment from City Hall, public humiliation and being rebuked by those he tries to obtain information from. This is not good and the longer people stay in office the more effective they become at concealment and corruption. That is why term limits are essential. New blood and new ideas are what communities need.

Willy,

I agree with you and term limits - I was just surprised that the majority did also.

Looks like to me that every once in a while in Ludington, truth springs eternal, and somehow, the public sees through the fog and darkness, not to mention lies and misinformation. Thank you John Q. Public for not falling for this treachery and deceit to our city charter.
