Glad to hear they were found safe. Apparently it was quite a trip and hard to say if it will ever be figured out how they ended up in Kenosha, WI due to the mother seeming to be confused. Anyhow, glad they will be heading back and will be ok.

The answer to her seemingly confused state and their disappearance can only be from one cause in my opinion and that is, alien abduction, but since everyone knows that aliens won't go near Kenosha this will probably remain a mystery.
I'm thinking they wound up in Kenosha, because they went around Lake Michigan counterclockwise and stopped before they reached the Illinois border, thinking Kenosha was Hammond, Indiana, because that's the last city you pass before you enter Illinois when you go clockwise, a much shorter route. Kenosha and Hammond are equally likely to be avoided by aliens, I hear.
Either that or it was part of Dick Durbin's sinister plot against all evil coal-ash drinking Ludingtoners, which he started against the Gerbers.
I am so happy that they are safe and we can joke about their little misadventure.
