The first looks like something from a Star Wars movie, with the rain drops as little travel pods, and the lightning as competing forces. Dave, they fooled you once again ; )

So, this is fake photography, or real? You guys got me confused now. Either way, looks like mother nature is going to be unpredictable this summer for bad storms. Not good for lakegoers/charters either.

It's the real deal. The strikes were actually caught by a couple people in the Chicago area. It seems that the tall towers like Sears and Hancock and Trump get struck several times a year so its not as hard to get that sort of shot as we might think... not to say of course that its a easy shot either.... still has quite a bit to do with luck but if there is a storm in town then you at least have so so odds of getting a good picture.
