Be nice if the Prez. was a groundhog, that way he would have a valid excuse for keeping his head underground where no one is affected and cares about his policies, and empty promises.

LOL.  Dave, what happens if he doesn't see his shadow?

8 trillion more dollars in taxes.. lol

Don't forget to add an extra trillion during a re-election year, you have to grease the gears-- and 36 more weeks of campaigning.

The current budget plan calls for another $1.3 Trillion in deficit spending for the next year and beyond. That doesn't even count the backlog of $15 trillion in accrued debt, and the interest on that and new debt into the future. Great plan for economics, quite the Professor eh? I don't know which planet this guy is living on, nor which country he actually is trying to represent, but it sure is a Loooooooong way from here imho.

You have to wonder at times, has our country went beyond the point of no return, where you can't be elected as a national leader without continuing the reckless spending to curry the favor of the majority?  If so, the country will eventually reach a point where the limit on their credit card is not only reached, but the creditors cut it in two, and everyone suffers.

That time my friend, is not on the horizon anymore, it's past due already, as the 2-3 recent stimulus bills and bailouts already proved. From the last debates, I have finally concluded the best man to exercise the office of President, and get us back on track for the future, has to be Newt. He's the one with the most logical and workable solutions, and has a mandate of Day 1 Executive Orders that no one else has that can turn things around most quickly, and be honorable to our Constitution.
