So-called “smart” meters have caused thousands of fires and explosions — such as this fire on Wednesday in Ontario. But politics and money have swept the whole thing under the rug.

Brian explains how and why this is all occurring, including reams of evidence and court documents. This is exactly what your utility does not want you to see. Watch now:

The most terrible thing is this: most people simply don’t know. It’s been covered up, worldwide.

And most still don’t know that “smart” meters are part of a global corporate agenda of unprecedented in-home surveillance, systemically increasing utility bills, facilitating hacking and remote shut-offs, and are causing widespread human functional impairment from pulsed microwave radiation hundreds to thousands of times stronger than a cellphone.

We’ve had a hard time getting this info out. This is a clandestine agenda which affects everyone.  Their agenda, however, is beginning to crack. And those causing or allowing “smart” meter deployments will be individually held to account.

It is up to us to educate our firefighters as utilities won’t and top brass are only concerned about getting their pensions.”

Thanks Aldon for your technical knowledge, we introduced our readers to the issue around the same time you gave us a warning in the City of Ludington Daily News:  are-smart-meters-a-smart-move

It's a pity that a utility company installs these without informing the consumers dependent on them of the dangers involved.

According to this web site almost 52 million smart meters have been installed in the U.S. so far. Besides being a potential fire hazard my biggest concern is the privacy issues and data tracking these meters perform.

I know you have the option to opt out of a smart meter by paying a service charge of $100 - $200 plus $10 extra  per month added unto your power bill.

Last fall there was legislation offered in Michigan  with bipartisan  support to do away monthly fees and refund both the service charge and monthly fee.

I do not believe this bill gained any traction to advance. Haven't heard anything more about it.

Even if it was passed I do not believe Governor Snyder would  sign it into law.

My sister's son in Rogers City told the electric company that he didn't want one on his house. You have to request it not to be put on. She also refused one on her house. My daughter found out that they had put a smart meter on her Kent City house while she was not at home.  She called the power company and they came and took it off, no problems and no charge.
