An amusing pastime with this data would be to try and rationalize a correlation between a state's best and worst feature.  For example, Michigan has the most lighthouses and yet has the worst roads in the country, so using only this information, one might generalize that citizens of Michigan are concerned more with traveling by water than by road, and thus are more prone to use boats than other states.

I have to agree on the roads in Michigan are not in the best of shape compared to the other states I have traveled through.
