That's what people in NYC possibly have to look forward too as disgraced former congressman Anthony Wiener has thrown his hat into the ring. I'm all for giving people a 2nd chance but will also say that he probably has an uphill battle. I mean the jokes are already writing themselves..... seriously, if you were a resident would you be boasting about how you had a Wiener for a mayor? I can just hear Leno and Letterman and every other comedy oriented program having a field day with this.

I wish I was a Sexter Mayor Weiner,

That is what I'd truly love to be,

Cause If I was a Sexter Mayor Wiener,

Everyone would see a part of me.

Good one X.

I guess this guy couldn't take it when his 15 minutes of fame was over, so he chose to run for mayor of NYC to get attention drawn back to him. Pathetic.

Poor Weiner, just can't catch a break.

Anthony Weiner is running for mayor of New York City ... and not to be the leader of Pittsburgh.

But for a time on Thursday, Weiner's website bore a photo silhouette of a skyline that looked familiar to Pennsylvania bloggers as an image of the Steel City. The telltale sign apparently was the BNY Mellon Center, a 55-story building in downtown Pittsburgh, which was located on the left side of the silhouette on Weiner's website.

Suffice it to say Weiner, the Democrat who resigned from Congress in 2011 amid a sexting scandal, took a fair amount of ribbing on the Internet and Twitter for this one.

By Thursday night, the home page for Weiner's website bore photos of iconic images of New York, such as the Unisphere built for the 1964-65 World's Fair and the Washington Square Arch.

NGP Van, the marketing firm that helped put together Weiner's website, said in a statement that it made an "honest mistake" by using the wrong city skyline.

"This is our fault," said John Brougher, a vice president at the firm. "Our designer got the image from a set of images that included New York City images, but obviously this image was not of New York City, as the Weiner campaign had requested."

The Weiner campaign suffered another setback when it was determined that another building that sprung up on his website was also not found in New York, but was a newspaper 'headquarters' in China.

Erections have consequences

Just in the short time that this thread has been up we've had a bit of fun... can only imagine what an opponent is going to do when the race is in the closing weeks... if I'm an opponent, I'm probably going to having some fun with the name at my opponents expense.
