Liberal Double Standards: Public Schools Teaching Islam is Okay

It has been said that if liberals didn’t have double standards then they wouldn’t have any standards at all and that couldn’t be more true as you will see in the lines that follow.

On Wednesday, November 27th, 2013, a follower of our Facebook submitted a photo.  The photo that was submitted shows a homework assignment that is expected to be completed over the Thanksgiving holiday but that isn’t the issue.

The assignment, handed out by Jack Margarita Middle School in Temecula, California, instructs students to design a monument or plaque that celebrates contributions made by Muslims to world civilization. In addition to that the instructions go on to say the student should use symbols to indicate the Muslim contributions to the world and create an outline map of the Muslim world but that isn’t the best part. If the student wishes to earn an ‘A’ on the assignment, they are encouraged to use something such as a poster board presentation and design some other type of monument that celebrates Islam up to or including a 3-D sketch or model.

The issue I take with this is rather simple. Progressives and atheists alike never pass up an opportunity for blasphemy of Christianity, going so far as to “boo” at the very mention of God even as a formality such as the words on US currency In God We Trust.

Progressives and atheists alike are quick to point out, albeit falsely, how the constitution states there should be a separation of church and state, but there are no such words found in any article of the constitution. When the founding fathers instituted a separation of church and state, it simply meant that the government is disallowed from favoring one religion over another.

With that being said, why do progressives and atheists alike froth at the mouth at the very thought of Christianity or God being mentioned in our public schools, yet give the vile and evil cult known as Islam a free pass?  Islam is known the world over for being anything other than a ‘religion of peace’ for the many atrocities it commits against women, children, and those who refuse to bow down to Muhammad, the prophet of pedophilia. Women are oppressed by the barbarianism of Islam on daily basis, all over the globe, but that doesn’t matter to progressives or atheists.

The LGBT and feminist community raises nine kinds of hell if they feel there’s even the slightest bit of inequality for them in society, but where is the equality for women who have the misfortune of being born in a nation that has adopted Islam as its belief system? Nothing is said and the silence would be deafening if it were not for hearing the crickets chirping. Islam is granted a free pass by progressives and atheists alike and if anyone dares to speak out against the vile and evil cult known as Islam, they are shouted down and called a bigot, racist, Islamophobe, or xenophobe.

Progressives and atheists alike are hypocrites because they scream about others being tolerant of their beliefs and lifestyle regardless of how unnatural or immoral, yet they aren’t tolerant of others. That, my fellow patriots, is known as the democrat double-standard.

Voltaire said it best when he said “to learn who rules over you, simply find out who you are not allowed to criticize” and little by little, the American government is bowing down to Islam; going so far as even to allow Shariah Law to be used in American courts.

It is difficult to believe that twelve years after the twin towers fell in New York City, the liberal public school system is indoctrinating and teaching our youth about the sick and twisted cult that was responsible for the thousands of deaths on that tragic day of September 11, 2001.

I am thankful that my child isn’t the one who brought home an assignment like this because he/she would be getting an ‘F’. I would build a 3-D model of an IED (improvised explosion device) and have Barbie doll parts scattered about, with the words in big bold letters saying THIS is what Islam has contributed to civilization.

The founding fathers of America are undoubtedly rolling in their graves and if they were alive, they would be hanging their heads in shame.

Amendment 1 - Freedom of Religion, Press 

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

In order to be "Constitutionally correct" the assignment should have been for the students to pick the followers from one of the Worlds religions and report on their contributions. For instance students could choose Christians, Hindus, Jews, etc. To single out religious followers of a particular belief, especially one that was founded on the concepts of conquest and war, is sending the wrong message. Islam is not a religion of peace. Their is no comparison between the violence of Islam's founder Muhammad and the peaceful attributes of Jesus' Christianity.

I have always agreed with keeping out Religious teaching from schools because of this exact topic. I have always said that if Christian teachings, including prayer, are allowed in schools and Government then it will soon follow that other Religions would want their beliefs to be included which would pave the way for radical Islamic indoctrination. Allowing any prayer and religious teachings in schools or Government is a bad idea.

I agree with no religion being taught in Public Schools, as. I went to a catholic school for years. Side note, had 2nd year algebra in the tenth grade at LHS, and, it was the same book I had for first year algebra in the ninth grade at St. Simon. (didn't have to study much at LHS.)

Students who attend private schools are statistically better prepared than those attending public schools.  Here's some statistics from a private school advocacy group:

Privately run schools should be the norm, it's a better model.
