WASHINGTON (Michigan News Source) – Michigan’s U.S. Senators sided with the transgender lobby and aligned against girls and women’s rights in sports.

Both U.S. Senators Gary Peters and Elissa Slotkin towed the Democratic party line on Monday evening. Peters voted against the Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act while Slotkin failed to cast a vote. The Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act would have banned government-funded schools nationwide from allowing men to compete in women’s sports

You are correct Terry. The video below has a portion of it showing Slotikin reading a transgender book. She obviously is a supporter of children being indoctrinated into this ideology.

It's no secret how Slotkin would have voted had she not avoided the issue, likely because she was tapped to give the Democrat response to the SOTU speech and wanted to be seen as less extreme.  For six years she's shown how she feels about filling women's sports with gender dysphoric men who have distinct physical advantages due to biology.

In May 2019, in her first term in Congress, Slotkin voted for the Equality Act. That bill would, among other things, prohibit an individual from being denied access to a shared facility, including a restroom, a locker room and a dressing room, that is in accordance with the individual’s "gender identity.  She would vote for it again in 2021 when it came back to the house from the senate.

In April 2023, Slotkin voted against the Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act, which would prohibit school athletic programs from allowing individuals whose biological sex at birth was male to compete with biological women or girls in programs designated for them.

And in July, Slotkin voted against a House resolution to give congressional disapproval to roll back the Biden-Harris administration’s rewrite of Title IX regulations to clarify that sex discrimination includes on the basis of gender identity. (source)
