Just curious if anyone knows of any place that does the Motorcycle Road Test here locally? I've been riding for years now with my T.I.P. with my friends that all have endorsements (they all took the safety classes to get their licenses) but the only classes they have available locally, don't happen until the end of may but I go back to work on the S.S. Badger ( I work in the engine room) on May 16th.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

There should be a list on the state of MI web site, or stop in the secretary of state for a list,  I think it is in the yellow pages as well under driving tests, Don or Dan Nelson I think. They do the test at the ISD between Scottville and Ludington. You can go there and practice the test but the cones won't be set up, all the lines are there though. Mine was a couple years ago, it was like 60 dollars.
Hmm, I've had a cycle endorsement renewed on my DL for about 40 years now. Only took a road test once when I was 16 or 17, they never asked again, I never mentioned it either. Is there some new test now required, or is this the original test when you first get the endorsement? I know they used to ticket you if stopped and you didn't have it.
He appears to need to take the original test. There are no requirements for renewal except to keep it active on your license when you renew it every four years.
Quite right about the renewal, as long as you keep it active, if you let it lapse once, you have to recertify you can ride with another test and extra costs.
Just an update. I took the road test with Dan Nelson out at the ISD. It was only 35 bucks and the easiest test I've ever taken! As of tomorrow (when I go to the S.O.S.) I will be 100 percent legal to ride! Thanks everyone for the info!!!
Lando and Aquaman are our two main motorcycle experts in the area, and fonts of knowledge on the subject, particularly in West Michigan.  Way to go with your on spot info guys, and congrats Harley.  Enjoy the open road.
Thanks XLFD
I have a 1999 Honda Shadow Aero 1100cc retro type and a 1971 Honda 350 SL in the garage. What do you ride Bill? Thanks.

Your welcome, Bill; and I would bet money he rides on something made by Harley Davidson, Aquaman, LOL.

This spring is terrible so far for riding bikes, motorized or not.  Cold, snowy, etc.  $4.00+ gas should see a lot more people traveling this way this summer-- one of the few benefits of high gas prices.

I wish I had a Harley XLFD! I'm slowly working on rebuilding my credit that my ex-wife destroyed for me so eventually I will have one!

I have a 1981 Yamaha 850 Special. It's nothing special but it goes down the road and gets me where I need to go!
