If Only This Was An April Fool's Joke: Obama Proclaims April as ‘Budget Responsibility Month’!

Just when you think there couldn't possibly be anything stupider coming out of Washington then what were already use too... BAM... they surprise us with this joyous tidbit. I mean really, who better to teach us about budget responsibility then the federal government... its not like they spend more then what they have or anything... who doesn't have a nearly $17 trillion dollar debt? Everybody right?

If the administration had a clue, they would of done this month, releasing the news about April being 'budget responsibility month' on April 1st just made the idiotic thought that the government was a good teacher on budgetary concerns seem even stupider.

In a story that at first was deemed an April Fools joke in many media circles, President Barack Obama has officially proclaimed April “National Financial Capability Month.”According to CNS News, Obama released this statement:

I call upon all Americans to observe this month with programs and activities to improve their understanding of financial principles and practices… Together, we can prepare young people to tackle financial challenges — from learning how to budget responsibly to saving for college, starting a business, or opening a retirement account.”

The information is listed on a federal website called MyMoney.gov where financial tips are given. They include some pretty funny statements, considering the spending of his administration. Listed among the “popular topics” on MyMoney.gov is “Managing Debt and Credit,” which includes a link to a page on the Federal Reserve’s website called “Getting the most from your credit card.”

Tip 2 on that page is: “Stay Below Your Credit Limit.

Obama's second term has as its goal to extend April Fool's Day to last the whole year.  I wonder if Prezident Obama put this out as a cruel, ironic joke.

I can see the Senators and Representatives rolling in the aisles over this one.  Special thanks to Renee Bailey for the image to the left.

I heard about it and couldn't believe what I was hearing... I mean its insane for the government to be giving any budgeting or financial advice in general given their track record, specially the Obama administration.
