Hurricane Irene Intensity Caused By Global Warming

Or at least that's what some of the idiots would like everyone believe. I knew it wouldn't take long before some boneheads would try to connect that somehow global warming is what is making Irene a more intense hurricane then normal. When will they ever learn? I'm thinking never but I suppose there is always hope. These moron's are jumping on this hurricane yet forgetting their has already been 8 other named storms this year that were less then impressive and also that of the hurricane seasons of the last few years (all of which were suppose to be bad years yet ended up being pretty tame years).

I'd have a lot easier time believing in the gloom and doom forecast that some people (Algore) would have you believing if they could tell me exactly what the weather or even the temperature was 1000 years ago or 200 years even.... they can't though simply because recorded records don't go back that far... its all guesstimation which obviously is not an exact science, its all interpretation.

Statistically Long Island was due for a hurricane this year.  Whats weird is that last week we had an earthquake and now a hurricane, can wait to see what mother nature is going to throw at us next week.

There exists no credible scientific proof correlating a rise in ocean surface temperatures and the heightened prevalence of tropical storms. There does exist plenty of proof of the unscientific methods and hypocrisy of the Global warming cult.

it should be noted that Irene is the first hurricane to make landfall on the USA in 3 years.... even though each year we are told that 'this year will be a very active year'

The warmers predicted devastating hurricane seasons three years in a row. Duds, 08, 09, 10, just like Irene. Certainly makes for good media.

True enough... as much as the progressives and liberals want to accuse conservatives and republicans of being fear mongers, it seems that those same progressives and liberals are just as guilty of fear mongering as those they accuse of doing the same.

Both are adept at fear mongering when it suits their causes, but progressive/liberals have a mostly sympathetic media on their side as well.

I watched a show recently on tv about some scientists who drilled into Antartica's ice cap and went deeper than anyone has done before. What the ice revealed is that the polor ice has completely melted many times due to the warming of the Earth from natural causes. The scientists even found peices of trees in the ice. Suprise. I'm assuming that the global warming folks will use this information in a twisted way to meet their agenda.
