Had mentioned to X the other day and he was curious also. Aaron left the Department on October 17th , his Facebook states after 16 years is time to move on , when asked by someone what are you on to next. He doesn't reply.
So he didn't leave for another job back in October. And have never seen anything in paper regarding JB Well resuming being Detective and why the change. Wondering if anyone knew anything ?

Perhaps he finally realized that he just didn't have the temperament to be in such a position as police officer, or that he didn't have the professional capacity to be promoted to the LPD's detective position. With Dave Krause's earlier departure, I wouldn't be surprised if there's some kind of lawsuit coming down the street.
If someone has some intel but doesn't want to broadcast that fact, send me or 'Brian' a message with what you know; it's a shame we can't depend on our public officials to let us know salient stuff regarding their personnel moves.
Interesting Thanks for the information. You know who you are. So the Prosecutor retained a individuals phone that made a previous allegation. Supposedly they didn't find anything on phone, gave copy of disc to defense. To there suprise there were obviose wipes of certain individuals. Prosecutor ordered investigation in LPD , who ever had access to phone, Det. Sailor did investigation. Determined definitely missing , I don't know who. On October 17th Defense presented motion to Judge Sniegowski .
If a person employed by the city quits , resigns , retires and a law suit comes up naming this individual in it. Who pays the attorney fees of that person?
That's a good question and one that has come up over the last ten years in Ludington a couple of times. Numerous case law opinions and state statute (not to mention local charter) seem to indicate that it is optional for the city corporate to be involved if they aren't otherwise named in the lawsuit. The city council is the only one with the discretional legal authority to make a decision otherwise as to whether they defend a police officer or other official with resources available to the city.
As we have seen in Ludington, they like to sweep lawsuits under the rug of public scrutiny, so this choice of diverting public resources to defending public officials doesn't get made at a meeting open to the public as every legitimate city council meeting is, but rather at the administrative level outside of any public notice. The only time we hear about a lawsuit against the City is when they are to the point of settling the issue with the financial settlement amount usually hidden in a closed session. That really needs to change.
I know who this involves. It is unfortunate how long this situation has dragged on. What ever happened to HONESTY in charging a individual ?
Is the body cam video on here somewhere? If so, please tell me where, I'm missing it, thanks.
Based on the details given. I know exactly who the individual is going through this. The phone was turned over back in July for review. Here we are at the end of December.
Does this have anything to do with the Shop with a Cop money?
