Henderson is trying to kiss some voters rear ends.

This was in the LDN today. This man wants terribly to extend his  anti Constitutional grip on  the citizens of Ludington. I think the Mayor is trying to muster support for the extension of his regal reign. It would be nice to see X show up and put him on the spot. My guess is there won't be any seats available for those that appose the Mayors job extension ploy or his heavy handed treatment of folks he disagrees with.

Ludington coffee hour Thursday

A mayor with your coffee?

Friday, September 7, 2012

Ludington Mayor John Henderson is inviting residents to have coffee with him Thursday afternoon and to share their thoughts about the city.

He also expects to make it a monthly event, but said it will depend on the turnout and interest among members of the community.

“We’ve been thinking about this for a while,” Henderson said. “I’ve seen some of these other folks do this, with the (state politicians) and saw the Scottville city manager is going to do it and it’s a good idea. It’s a way to reach out and see what these folks are thinking and give them a chance to have a one-on-one discussion with the mayor.”

His first session is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. Thursday at House of Flavors Restaurant. He had originally thought of Friday afternoon, but changed his mind after thinking about how a lot of people are busy then getting ready for the weekend.

It kind of sucks that Scottville has their City Manager (the position with all the executive power of the City) having coffee with the public while we are stuck with some guy whose biggest decisions are made on the Downtown Ludington Board, deciding what surface is to be used on the North James Plaza next year.  And figuring out who he needs to canoodle with to get a job for his daughters.

I'll bring the petition forms and see whether he can clear up some things for me.  I also have a couple questions about the marina transient docks, the water towers, and to further explain why he thinks it is safer having one beach ranger patrolling around in a dune buggy all around the town, than having three lifeguards on duty at Stearn's beach.

Hope he has a lot of coffee!

I think he'll hit the Scotch after you show up and I predict that if he has to answer some hard questions it will be his last coffee with his  subjects.

Or you'll get a LOT to not enter the House of Flavors... lol

That could be a mixed blessing.  If the kid pesters me when we're in the area, I can say "I'd love to buy you an overpriced ice cream cone, however, the burghermeister says I can't."  LOL.

Ever notice how this wonderboy gets all his creative lightning rod ideas from others in life, and never by himself? Does this not bespeak of a copy-cat type, one that never offers ideas from within, one with no life compass of his own, always looking at others to emulate, and to me, that bespeaks of a hollow and shallow person. One that cannot think and operate under his own conscience, and why, because he has no conscience, just a big appetite for injustice and yes, free ice cream that Neal probably has delivered to his home weekly by the truckload. No wonder there is so much lard to go around at the Henderson home.

Mayor Henderson ran out of his own ideas back during his first term; since then they have all been borrowed, with little regard for safety or fiscal responsibility.

Aquaman, if the Henderson's have a lot of lard at home it's probably because they have created a cottage-industry, manufacturing butter for the Ludington Farmer's Market.  It is kind of him to warehouse some of that ice cream for his friend, however.
