Can't say I've heard of anyone suing a company for this particular reason. Of course one can only imagine the zingers that have been posted in response to the story.... If the guy is lucky he'll be able to find an attorney that will take the case pro-boner... this guy has a hard standard to get the win... could be a long case

Man sues BMW for 20-month erection after bike ride

A California man has sued BMW North America and a motorcycle-seat maker claiming that a four-hour round-trip ride on his 1993 BMW bike with a "ridge-like" seat gave him "a severe case of priapism (a persistent, lasting erection)" that's lasted 20 months and counting.

While there have been concerns about narrow "banana" bike seats causing loss of feeling in that area -- for men and women -- this is the first report we've seen of way too much.

The product liability lawsuit against BMW and well-known aftermarket seatmaker Corbin-Pacific (reported first by Courthouse News Service in California) was filed in California Superior Court in San Francisco last Thursday by Henry Wolf and his lawyer, Vernon Bradley of Sausalito.

The Wolf v. BMW lawsuit alleges that Wolf has continued to suffer the erection problem since the September 2010 ride -- and, as we know from Viagra ads, anything past four hours is a problem.

The lawsuit for emotional distress says Wolf is "now is unable to engage in sexual activity, which is causing him substantial emotional and mental anguish."

According to the lawsuit, Wolf wants compensation from BMW and Corbin for lost wages, medical expenses, emotional distress and "general damage."

I think he has a fair chance in winning, because he not only "has a leg to stand on"-- he has three.

There will be stiff competition in the court room

I've heard of not being able to put a good man doen, but this is ridiculous. (My doubleyou isn't going today again.) You guys.....lol.

Who needs viagra when you can sit on a seat and get the same results. I bet BMW bike seat sales have sky rocketed and will be giving it's competitors some truly stiff competition.

Once the jury sees the plaintiff's briefs, they'll know something is up.  This also seems like a violation of the Penal Code.

You people are to funny. However, on a more serious note, I hope he doesn't come up short in court due to a lack of evidence. And how's he going to prove his case? By hanging out all day during the trial, hoping there won't be a limp moment. If that's the case, the court will have to erect a sign warning people that his case could reach a climax at any moment.

Everyone likes a good climactic moment in any court case
