Sherman Oaks Manor - Where Sex Offenders are Rewarded

This is the guy who used to work at Mason County Central Schools but was terminated after luring young girls to his home to take sexually explicit photos of them.  Hopefully he has turned his life around, as it appears he is a good employee.

It's always good to see someone bounce back from such an event of their own making, to once again be a productive member of society, at least as judged by his peers at Sherman Oaks.  Seeing Sherman Oaks resident Kaye Holman regularly is the best cure for those who have a desire to take dirty pictures of women.

That's funny X.

Second on that Willy, but also too true, lol. As for Gerhardt, after reading the link WW posted, I wouldn't put too much faith in what he does in his personal life just yet. He's been habitual at this for years previous, and I believe his temptations will outweigh the best of behavior into the far future, but, that's just my opinion. I wonder if LE is monitoring his computer and photography these days.

well he could get a job as a photografter for mag, or playboy if he was to take them of women  at least the pay would be good n he would be safe from trouble, hopefully

Actually, I would advise him to steer clear from any sort of occupation involving photography, if he has not already been forced to do so by the terms set by the court.  He would likely have a battle within himself to keep from conducting more glamour shot sessions with youths.  It would be much like having the recovering alcoholic become a bartender.

These guys who take pictues of girls in bikinis should wise up and just go to any beach and they will have an untold number of models who are more than willing to strut around almost nude. He should sit in a lawn chair and click away thus avoiding any police involvement. I'm surprised at what parents are letting their kids wear at the beach. No wonder there are so many mini Miley Cyrus's running around.

Jamie, your post doesn't play fair and sounds like two wrongs make a right, and that's BS. Since when is a 14-15 year old girl able to make adult decisions in her life like this? This Gerhart guy was well into his mid to late 20's when this started, and 30's too. He certainly is old enough to know minor children aren't to be messed with, yet he did it anyhow. Whatever the parents are supposed to do or not, they can't be with their teenagers 24/7. They have to make some mistakes along the way, as we all did at that age. I'm sure they know better now. Gerhart knew better all along, and deceived and betrayed innocent minors to get his jollies, simple as that!

The two things that make the big difference in the original scenario is that Mr. Gerhart was in a position of authority and the young age of the girls fall below the legal age of consent.  If the girls were a little older, he would have been within the law, and as Willy says, he would have been able to use minimal charm and coercion to get pictures of them.

I'm guessing the parents (had they known their daughters were with Mr. Gerhart) may have presumed that he was a respected school employee and that they trusted him.  Parents often expect clergy, teachers, policemen, etc. are trustworthy because of their position.

He has risen to a level of trust with Sherman Oaks, and received their high honor, that shows he can market himself in this area even after his guilt is known.  I am inclined to believe like you, however, that some (if not all) of the girls who modeled for him wanted to do more so out of their own vanity than his persuasiveness.  Still, in the eye of the law, whatever reason is against the law.

Jamie has a point. I know teenagers who go to bars and they are only 15 years old. The parents couldn't care less. There are many girls who look much older than their age. Mature 14 and 15 year olds can cause a lot of trouble for unsuspecting guys.    If Gerhart knew their ages then he willingly broke the law but if he was unaware how old they were then in my opinion he may have been acting in good faith thinking the girls were of age.

The link that WW posted said he took one girl behind a sand dune age 14 and took over 100 pictures in bikini. Other victims were taken repeatedly behind churches to take more lewd pictures. Does that ring any bells of decency? The "girls" aren't old enough to understand and fully comprehend the world yet, that make any point? I don't want to seem old fashioned or nothing, but in this case, the law is the law. I wish Wonder Woman would chime in to see what her thoughts are and were making this thread. Thanks.

Your not old fashion at all Aquaman. But as I said if he knew the girls were not of age then he made his bed and must now sleep in it. However if he was unaware that they were minors then that would be another story. The girls could have told him they were 18 and when the truth came out he may have had no excuse because the girls would have turned on him so they could stay out of trouble. You would not believe the age of my niece if you met her on the street. She can easily pass as a college freshman but when you find out she is only 13 you would have a shocked look on your face.
