QueenofSpades replied to Barney Reinberg's discussion LITTLE BIG MAN
"Red or blue matters not. Private interests and privileged leaders are ruining this country as we proceed to make enemies world wide. How could we expect the sons of the men we kill to forgive the USA and leave our future sons in peace. Hate is…"

Black Bear Comes to Ludington, Quickly Regrets It

"Willy, I couldn't help but notice that you grabbed a photo from the archives when Ryan Cox was mayor of Ludington to show the bare suit I wore back then.  If you had a view from the front, you would have seen my tribute to the then-mayor…"

"I can see it.  Mayor Barnett comes to council with a litany of overblown issues with black bears, showing multiple news reports on bear incursions into Ludington (all dealing with this one incident, naturally).  Council approves a…"

Black Bear Comes to Ludington, Quickly Regrets It

"Chris from WMOM gave a public comment dressed in a Gus Macker costume without being found out-of-bounds at the last meeting, so if I did show up in a bear costume, there shouldn't be a problem right?"

Trooper Seymour's Secret Prosecution: Two Hands Around a Throat, One Hand in Reserve

The recent arrest and arraignment of Michigan State Trooper Sammy Seymour is maddening for a couple of reasons.  The first, noted after the Ludington Torch received the police report concerning the arrest, Seymour changes his story multiple times under questioning by police officers the night and day after the alleged domestic violence crime (after trying unsuccessfully to make the responding police go away by making it appear that nobody was home).  The second, more troubling aspect was that…See More

Two absolute truths I've learned while being an advocate for police accountability:  1) If body/dash cam footage for a major incident should be available but isn't released in the first week after…Continue

    Migration Update

The elves of the Ludington Torch were hopeful that we could move from our current Ning 2.0 network to the Ning 3.0 network shortly after our five year anniversary, but we have got news from them back that they are not currently doing any new migrations to the higher platform at this time.  We surmise that there has been problems with the migrations of other Ning sites, because some things do not transfer very well or at all, including videos and group modules.

    As they continue to…

    Spammertizing

Over the last couple of months our members have swelled due to an advertising push by those who join, post an ad, provide a link, and possibly send messages to other members advocating some product or action.  While these are basically harmless if you ignore them, the Torch tech wizards cannot fully protect against the intruders.  I have eradicated about two dozen of these infidels, and will make it a practice to do so in the future.

    Downloading Videos

Want to download videos for a thread or just to add to our Videos library, but are having a hard time figuring it out?  It's not hard once you know how to do it.  First you will need the Video's "Embed" code; on a typical video site like Youtube they will have a "share" button you need to click, you will then see an "Embed" button you need to click.  You will see the code all in blue, you need to "copy" (as in copy and paste) this code by going to your copy command.
