Talk about fees and raises: I see where the M.C. Bored/Board of Commissioners just gave everyone in the county budget a 2% raise each year for the next 3 years. The only no vote was Mary Nichols, probably the only one watching the news of our financial calamities in the county, state, and entire country as a whole. Guess those peeps are also out in la-la-land on cloud 9, just going thru the motions, without any mindset of the current events of our day. They stated the budget can handle it, but just wait, I'll bet in 6 months or so they'll start crying for more rate increases wherever they can on the taxpayers.

Read yesterday's LDN article about the vote for raises for ALL county employees by the Mason County Commissioners. All but one voted no. That was Mary Nichols. Apparently, she has a radio and TV which unequivocally shows the nation, state, and almost everyone is in a financial crisis. But, ever onward, and upward, for more taxes, given the vote of 8-1 for higher raises of pay, and then, our wallets shrink ever so much again, and again. Oath takers, maybe, oath keepers, NOT! JMO
