LUDINGTON'S TRUE SECRETS REVEALED, (Part Dos/Deaux)

BASEMENT BASEMENTS! What and where are these? Well, we have two here in Ludington that I know of, perhaps you know more. They are deeply buried vaults under the main basements that hold many untold treasures, information, documents,  pictures, placques, files, and much more. Where? Well, the two I know of are 1) under the Mason County Courthouse, and 2) under the Ludington City Center Building. Not many people know these exist, imo. Did You? And why isn't the public privy to these and allowed access as any other normal public building built with taxpayer monies? Share your thoughts and information. Thanks.

The Ludington City Center Building? Is this the new City Hall/Police Dept. Building you are referring to?

You got some proof, or are you 'Capone-ing' us?
Aquaman
Have you seen these vaults? And how do you know what is in them?
Actually, I regret the error of calling the new Municipal Building the City Center Building. I drove by the old National Bank building on the SE corner of Lud. Ave. and James St. and that is actually the city center building. Yes, many years ago two of us went into the one under the courthouse, with special permission and tour, history report for college. The other was demolished at the old DPW/City Municipal building of recent, but from what I understand, it has been replaced with a new one at the Harrison St. locale now. Fyi, these are not small floor vaults either, as my earlier post may get misinterpreted, they are actual full sized basements, under the original basements. As to what they have in them, many many secret treasures of Ludington's past, and much more..........! April Fools is in April, not November...................lol.
Aq,
Does the elevator in the courthouse reach the subbasement area, and what is the area used for?

As for the other, I will take the policy of RWR with Gorby and trust you, but want verification.
No elevator to my knowledge, special emergency type escort only by high officials. It was for archival historical type storage, very confidential stuff, old pictures, before microfiche days I would suppose too. May also be used for bunker emergencies of the old days to protect important court and LE officials. Entrance I used was in NW corner behind old locked door.
