Just when you think some of these union people can't possibly go any lower, they go and sink to yet an even lower level. How they even sleep at night makes me wonder. There are times and places you do your protest... a special olympics event to honor the athletes is definitely not one of those times or places.

A group of students marching around the State Capitol dressed as Zombies Wednesday went to a committee meeting and disrupted it. 12 of the students were arrested. But their non-political event outside the Capitol building has some saying the protesters went too far.
The students dressed up as the undead to protest budget cuts Wednesday; cuts they say are killing education. But when they stood in front of Special Olympians who were being honored by Governor Scott Walker, people got upset.
UWM professor Mordecai Lee says the protesters are trying to show they're not going away. But the way they're trying to get that message across is growing tiresome for some people. "How many more times can they jump the shark -- how many more times can they come up with a new angle that makes it more interesting as opposed to the legislative process," said Lee.
Both Democrats and Republicans in Madison criticized the "zombie walk" on Thursday. They say it really crossed the line when it disrupted the Special Olympics event.
The United Council of University of Wisconsin Students is the group that organized the zombie walk. It distanced itself from what happened at the Special Olympics event, saying it only supported the march and the committee protest. The groups says "any actions happening later in the day are outside the scope of UC's Day of Action and was not endorsed or supported by the organization."

What does this have to do with unions? Did I miss something?
I guess what they did is perfectly legal and ethical, considering the Westboro baptist church has set the precedent in the courts now for free speech anywhere/anyhow.
This seems irrelevant compared to what westboro does. This is a bunch of college kids protesting budget cuts, because the SPC. Olymics were there is irrelevant to the protest. Unlike Westboro who would specifically target the SPC olympians if they were gay, surprised they weren't there actually.
The students that protested are sympathetic to the unions and from what I understand had just come from some sort of union protest that was in the area.
It really boils down to there are plenty of times and places where they can do their protesting in whatever form they wish but to do it in the way they did is just in very poor taste, to the point that both democrats and republicans were criticizing the group that did the protest for doing it. If they want to protest budget cuts fine, they did that the same day of this zombie walk at this event. Maybe if they hadn't decided to walk so that they put themselves between the governor and the athletes then that might of been ok, but to literally put themselves in the middle of the event is another.
These so called college educated children, and, I do mean children, by their very actions, shows what mush heads are coming out of our colleges now days. The radicals from the 60"s are now the college professors they look up to.
Whats that tell you?
Can you believe the grief these guys would be getting from the Mainstream Media if they were Tea Party protesters disrupting such an event?
These protesters are about as far from Tea Partiers you can get, expecting Big Mama Government to fund everyone's college education. Brain death has already occurred. But why isn't it universally condemned by Big Media? Definitely, it is a sign of the failure of education and the quality of the educators.
OMG, I know two boys who are roughly 19-22 and have been in college and I think it is about impossible to hold an intelligent conversation with them that concludes with a true understanding of the topic they choose to speak on.
Although some of the stuff they have to say is quite interesting and on the mark, their own inability to truly understand the words they say is unbelievable. They have this fantasy view of how things "should" be done and "should" turn out. Yet they are brainwashed into ignoring years of history that show such idealistic ideas to be only good in theory.
In a way I don't blame them and in a way I do, but as they are yet young and naive, I think in 10 years they will have a change of opinion, because, when I was that age I was quite the dummy about everything in life. And my idiocy had nothing to do with the teachers, but just my own immaturity in being able to accept the world as it is. Eventually they will take of the rose colored glasses, and maybe someday the professors who teach them will too, because being in the halls of academia all the time could lead to a boxed in viewpoint.
I think its time to take some college classes again. See what is going on in academia for myself and see if it is the childrens' immaturity or if it is the professors. I am gonna bet it is a matter of perspective and that it is the kids immaturity and lack of expanded world view that leads to the lack of insight in opinions that they have.
