Hacking Away
While newly elected Governor Gretchen Whitmer was traveling our dilapidated road system pandering to Democratic constituents and community colleges, AG Nana Nessel was busy on Twitter. Soon after President Trump announced Emergency Funding for the border wall, Nessel was in her office, behind a locked door typing her response to this “publicity stunt”. When she was finished, she had a law suit in hand ready to join the other 13 states in suit of President Trump’s action. Nessel tweeted, “This fake emergency is a publicity stunt that will raid our federal funding and cost us millions. We cannot in good conscience stand by while our president seeks to undermine our own efforts to keep our residents safe and our military strong. Proud to stand with these AG’s today”.
Fake Suit
Quite the brave stance our Attorney General is taking. There is only no problem with this law suit. In order to file a lawsuit, there must be an injured party (standing). No one has been injured because the president elected to declare an emergency at our Southern border. If it ever happens, it would be years down the road.
The Long Game
It will most likely be years before the lawsuits find their way to the SCOTUS and are ruled upon. If the lawsuits are thrown out, Emergency Funding could be used. If these funds decrease the effectiveness of the Michigan National Guard (as an example), then Nessel et al, may file suit. The real publicity stunt in all this lays with the 14 AG’s and their Twitter Accounts.

I don't think it matters what the lawsuit is about since the first courts to hear the case will be leftist activist judges. They will get an injunction to stop Trump then slow mo it thru the courts. We all knew lefties in Michigan politics would be joining the hoards of the mindless and ignorant SJ warriors to stop this from going thru. Maybe Whitmer and Nessel can help make Michigan a sanctuary state. This entire situation makes America look like a clown slipping down a slide greased with sh_t.
Declaration of a National Emergency has been done and in law since 1976, when Ford was President, that's 43 years now. Since that date almost all U.S. Presidents have declared some during their terms, including Obama at around 6 or 8 of them, nothing new at all, and totally legal. It is NOT the court's decisions to overturn or cancel them, never has been in the past to my knowledge. I believe, legally, the SCOTUS should never hear this suit, but throw it out for it's not their decision, nor any court, simply the Executive Branch and Trump to decide.
it only took 6 months. but you heard it here first. Aloha BR
