Tony Bennet.. Great Singer, Not So Brilliant On Some Other Things

It's fair to say that Tony Bennet is a great singer/performer.. granted I can't say that I am a fan of him but I won't deny that he isn't talented. Anyhow, it seems that in the wake of the death of Whitney Houston and also of Michael Jackson that he made a plea that drugs should be legal. All fine and dandy but someone forgot to mention to Tony that the drugs that killed Michael Jackson and that appear to be connected to the death of Houston that the drugs were prescription drugs/over the counter drugs... you know, legal drugs.

As a suggestion Tony, how about you stick to singing and let other people stick to issues :-)

Tony has spent a life surrounded by the casualties of drugs and alcohol, and it seems strange he would come out for drug legalization, particularly when so many of his fellow partners in song have died from legalized drugs, such as Amy Winehouse, who he sang with here, before she died from alcohol poisoning.
