Both Aq and Lando heard right.
Kidnapping Laws Both are effectively under the banner of kidnapping, I would think PA Spaniola needs only note in his legal briefs that the 'restrainer' was the father of the child.
that is sad
Since then a paternity test has been administered to Sean Phillips, and respected media outlet HLN Nancy Grace has it that they say there is no doubt about paternity according to the family of Phillips. As usual, we cannot undeniably confirm that information as the Mason Co. Prosecutor and other local police are remaining mum on the issue a week after this outlet said so, and the Ludington Daily News is pledged to make sure we stay in the dark, by their 'Sergeant Schultz-style' coverage of the story. http://www.ludingtondailynews.com/news/60046-officials-mum-on-baby-...
One really has to wonder why these officials, paid by public money, doing these tests with public money, cannot furnish the results so the public can be correctly informed. There is no invasion of privacy, no interference with an on-going investigation, that this information would compromise or any other 'exemption' FOIA Exemptions. It should be available, or we should be told directly why it isn't.
Here is Nancy Grace on 8-18-2011, in case you missed it, sensationalizing the story: http://www.examiner.com/us-headlines-in-national/sean-phillips-cour...
