With all the negativity that sometimes fills our lives - I thought I would share this tribute to our Armed forces active and retired. What an awesome man and artist "Bubba" is.

Our American Vets will be celebrated four weeks from today, 11/11/11. Many thanks and salutes to Lisa for a very inspirational and moving thread, worth the read, and what an artist. I just love his eagles, and everything else on the Rock. God Bless our Troops in harms way.

Thanks for the post Lisa

I just wanted to re-erect and thank Lisa for her recent thread that is now more timely upon us tomorrow. It's 11/11/11, Veterans Day again. This is a very special day for us as Americans, to salute and pay tribute to all those serving now, served in the past, and those lost in war for our freedoms. To any and all you on this forum that are veterans, and all veterans across our nation, a special thank you, and may God Bless.

Our veterans are too often ignored throughout the year, and this day is often overshadowed by that other November holiday.  These folks keep us safe and free, and you have to respect all those youngsters who volunteer for duty in the armed forces every day.  Thank you, veterans and to all those serving or about to serve.

Its cool that a number of businesses, mostly places to eat, offer vets and active duty members of the military either special deals on meals or free meals altogether. Its great to get out and see so many members of the military enjoying a good meal with their loved ones.
