The Life And Death Of Trayvon Martin

I'm sure by now that most all of you have heard about the 17 year old Florida teen that was killed by a member of a local neighborhood watch in Sanford, FL. In case you haven't though, I'll give a brief rundown of what happened... Trayvon was staying his dad's gf who sent him out to the local 7-11 to pick up a bag of Skittles and a drink. On the way back, George Zimmerman who helps out with the neighborhood watch program sees Trayvon and calls 911 to report a suspicious person.. during the call Zimmerman is asked by the 911 operator if he's following Trayvon to which Zimmerman said he was, the operator tells him he doesn't need to, that their is a patrol car on the way. At this point, something happens which we really don't know yet and Trayvon ends up being shot by Zimmerman and ending up dead.. this happened about a month ago.Zimmerman claims that he was defending himself and so far, other then some questioning, has not been arrested or detained in the case.

Fast forward to this week, now we have all sorts of parties trying to take advantage of the situation, sadly. Most annoyingly, the usual race baiters are out and about and inflaming a situation that could get out of hand rather quickly. You see, the biggest problem here is when you throw in the race baiters and the name of the shooter, George Zimmerman, you would assume that this was a white gentleman shooting a black kid... but... that's not the case as far as race goes, Zimmerman is actually Hispanic with a bit of African American in him too. Some of the race baiters have still made this a black/white issue which obviously it isn't.. heard audio myself of someone talking about the black man striking down this poor black youth.

What is really missing from all of this is what should be the first and foremost important thing.... what actually happened. For the most part, the police haven't really released much information at all as far as I know. There have been a few supposedly eyewitness reports that there was a fight of some sort between Zimmerman and Martin but again, nothing official. The reality is now is that unless the police arrest Zimmerman, things could get nasty very quickly. Problem is, if Zimmerman is actually innocent and was defending himself, the race baiters are going to go balistic and again, god knows what will happen. It's entirely possible though that Zimmerman could be guilty of something... be it minor or major.. as there have been reports of him using racial slurs in the past.

In the end though, this is a pretty unique situation, solely because its a black on hispanic crime. It will be interesting to see how this case turns out!

At the very least he needs to do something for the couple to at least cover their expenses in having to leave their home for not feeling safe by actions that he took.

Can anyone post current or recent pics. of these two guys? I just heard the parents of Treyvon had no other decent pics. of their son, the last ones were of him giving a double bird to the camera, with his shorts down around his ankles and boxer shorts showing all the way, and yes, I heard he's a full grown 6'3" tall, that's not the pic. we've all been shown around the nation. I think that in itself is totally misleading and fraud, to have us all believe it's this 12 year old boy, when in fact he's big enough for the NFL. The woman's home that Spike Lee gave as the address, is a 70 year old woman with a heart condition, she is having severe health problems now more than ever, and has been forced to move temporarily because of this. Sanford promptly fired the SPD Chief, replacing him with a big black man that only refers all info. to the Fl. AG, he won't comment at all. The Sanford CM and Mayor are also shuffling this to the Fl. AG for comment. This weekend on Sat. more protests are coming, and probably more violence. Meanwhile, Zimmerman is reported as being in hiding, may have left town or the state. He was one semester away from graduating in LE, now his life is ruined over this tragedy, he won't be working in LE. Close friends and his attorney both state Zimmerman was Not a racist is any way shape or form, he is half hispanic/half white, also a minority himself. He was not on neighborhood watch duty that night, but just going to the store and for a walk when all this happened.

The delayed media attention and the response by the President makes me believe that this is just media-generated hoopla designed to take the media spotlight off the important thing that may be happening now: the possible deconstruction of Obamacare in the Supreme Court.  If the police would reveal all the facts that they have found in their investigation, we wouldn't have such a circus atmosphere in this case.

Arent you the least bit curious why Zimmerman was in "jail orange" when he wasnt arrested that night? His dads a retired Judge and he has a couple violent charges that had been dropped.

These are simply more reasons why we need information before we make a decision of guilt or innocence. Zimmerman was taken to the jail, in handcuffs, as the video shows... but we don't have a good shot of his head to see if his nose actually looks broken or if he has an injury on the back of the head as he said he was bleeding from the back of his head... if he was injured, was there EMT's at the scene or was he taken to a hospital first?

Anyway, as far as the photo in question.. I saw that photo being posted all over Facebook, I'm always a bit dubious when it comes to those photos as to many times there are something wrong/inaccurate about them and I hesitate to repost them anywhere. I don't believe Aquaman posted the photo knowing it was a fake.. he believed it to be the real deal so he posted it... no ones perfect.

Everyone involved with the case needs to settle down and let the actual facts of the case come out. If Zimmerman is guilty, which is quite possible that he's guilty of something, then by all means he deserves whatever he has coming to him.

With the DOJ involved now, you can bet your sweet (pick a word) he will be charged with some thing, he's already convicted. He just doesn"t know it yet.

We all know what will happen if he's found innocent.

In regards to the DOJ, your right, hard to have much faith in the DOJ when they refuse to do anything when there was obvious voter intimidation in the case with the Black Panthers in Philadelphia a few years ago.
