I think everyone has heard about the trial of Mr. Zimmerman in Sanford, Fl.. The second degree murder charges look like they aren't going to fly. So what does the prosecution team do now? Since the defense team has now rested their case? Well, they now want to change the charges to get some sort of conviction, any conviction, and all for public injustice, not true justice. The prosecution now insists that a lesser charge of 3rd degree murder, manslaughter, and child abuse also be put in the mix. How the judge can let this happen after the trial is over, is ridiculous to me. But, in this day and age, with all the injustices happening around us daily, ok, why not, right?

Does anyone really think this guy will get a fair trial? Hell, the justice dept. financed all the ralley's against him

If the state takes someone to trial for one offense, a jury should not play the part of plea bargainers in deciding that a lesser offense may be more applicable at the end of the trial, on the advice of the prosecutors.

The judge I hear decided not to allow the 3rd degree murder charge but will allow manslaughter. Definitely appears that the prosecution is grasping at anything to try and get a conviction at this point. Having watched as much of the trial as I can, I just can't see where the jury could come back with anything other then an acquittal... but you can never tell what a jury is going to do of course. Sometimes I agree with what a jury does and sometimes I don't. I actually think the jury in the Casey Anthony trial was right in acquitting her, the prosecution in that case simply did not prove the case. I would say however, that I think Casey Anthony knows what happened to her child.. not sure if she was there when whatever it was happened but I think she's well aware.

Thanks Dave, but I do think these two cases vary in serious degrees, and are not alike at all. Btw, they also are trying to charge Zimmerman with child abuse/endangerment. Wth kind of thinking is that? Is Zimmerman, or anyone else for that matter, supposed to ask if a youth is over 18 when they are getting beaten and perhaps killed by them? This is how desperate and foolish the prosecution has become. They want this guy in jail, no matter the charge, and no matter the justice of the entire episode. Easy, true, the DOJ, Justice Dept. has become a chronic liberal tool used by Obama to ensure that folks behave like he expects them to, not as free Americans.

Aqau, the prosecution asked to get the 3rd degree w/ child abuse charge to get added but the judge denied it as she should of... had she allowed it, it would of been sure grounds for an appeal. And in referring to the Casey Anthony case, I was just talking about juries and what they do sometimes. In that case I think they got it right, going by what the evidence was which is exactly what I hope the jury in this case does.

The judge is showing herself to be rather incompetent in other repects.  In this video she browbeats Zimmerman and his lawyer in front of the jury, trying to get an answer of whether he plans on taking the stand to defend himself in the middle of the trial.  She even tries to swears him in.  I've never seen that before, and I would reason that the judge is doing what she can to aid the prosecution.  If I was on the jury, this would weigh heavily on me to find Zimmerman not guilty.  You don't use judicial power to try to deprive someone of their (Fifth Amendment) rights in front of a national audience.

If you go back and listen to all the liberal media, they had found him guilty long before there ever was a trial. According to Holder, remember, there can be no black on white racism, and, I guess that is a fact??

And I for one get really irritated when they continue to show a picture of martin when he was 12 years old. When in reality, he was six foot and almost 200 lbs. Thats not a little kid, no matter his age.

  • *************** ZIMMERMAN TRIAL *****************

    GZ Not Guilty Defense:
    1. GZ Following TM = Not a Crime.
    2. GZ Carrying Gun = Not a Crime.
    3. Most reliable witness (i.e. closest, with best view) John Good, sees GZ ((screaming for help)) being ground & pounded by TM.
    4. Professional Police investigators (trained to perceive deception and catch people in lies) said they “believed” GZ telling truth.
    5. MMA “experience” (per instructor) = A “soft” person who didn’t even know how to throw punch.
    6. GZ’s statements consistent (with “minor” variations). YES they are minor. Reaching for “or” touching gun creates exact same fear for someone being beaten.
    7. GZ's testimony irt him screaming for help was "prior" to even knowing about 911 recording.
    8. GZ’s immediate response to the proposition that TM’s phone may have caught the fight was…drum roll… “THANK GOD!!”
    9. Jeantel’s testimony puts TM in vicinity of dad’s fiancées house. Then, “after” hearing TM say “he’s behind me”, Jeantel hears sounds of TM moving. This matches up with Bahadoor’s statement of hearing running from left to right (from fiancées house towards altercation site). Then, Jeantel hears TM say “what are you following me for”. Highly indicative that TM ran “towards” altercation site as “the aggressor”…
    10. If in fear for your life “OR” great bodily harm you have the right to self defense. GZ screaming for approx 1 min demonstrates wanting to “stop” the altercation. TM had that entire time to “choose” to stop the altercation. He “chose” to continue and paid for it with his life.

    -----------------------
    GZ guilty proponents:
    1. Following someone is a crime and makes you an aggressor.
Sorry people but that's an "assumption" and legally NOT TRUE...
    2. Carrying a loaded gun makes you a vigilante looking 4 trouble.
Sorry people but that's an "assumption" and legally NOT TRUE...
    3. John Good (Witness with best view) = LIAR!
    4. The two police investigators are both = LIARS!
    5. GZ’s MMA instructor/trainer = LIAR!
    6. Basically “everyone” who is “for” GZ = LIARS!
    7. GZ’s “immediate reaction of “Thank God!” was “pre-planned” because GZ is a “mastermind”…
    8. GZ, being a pathetic “fighter” still tried to throw 1st punch. Stretch, at best
    9. Won’t accept common sense that your voice sounds diff when you hear it recorded (think of phone answering machine). I’e’ GZ saying “that doesn’t even sound like me”… Mr. Donnelly (combat vet) is actually 100% correct. Yes, he supports GZ but his testimony irt “250lb men sounding like girls when screaming for life” is still absolutely correct...
    10. They perceive GZ’s inconsistencies are bigger than they actually are.
    11. They refuse to accept what Jeantel’s & Bahadoor’s “combined” testimony indicates (TM “chose” to move “from” left (dad’s fiancées house) “to” the right (altercation site).
    12. They ignore the LAW and just say GZ had no right to shoot. I guess GZ should’ve just let TM pound him into a coma?...
    13. TM’s family’s testimony is more reliable than GZ’s. Come on, seriously? That’s an extremely “nonsensical” belief…
    14. GZ’s wounds are “self inflicted”. Ignoring the facts proving TM was “on top” ground and pounding GZ, MMA style. Oh yea, none of those blows “connected” right?...Good grief.
    15. They buy into crazy “Race Baiting”, Demagoguery from the likes of Ali Shahrazad, Chris Mathews, Al Sharpton, Bill Maher, etc.

***There are reasonable “inferences/speculation”, then there are things like believing “Half-Baked” conspiracy theories….***

Thanks for the synopsis easy, quite informative. X, that video of the judge is shameful, and after this episode, I think the judge should disqualify herself as prejudicial, and in cahoots with the prosecution. She certainly doesn't appear objective in that clip. The defense team might want to consider having her formally disqualified.

Good post Easy. That is a disgusting display by the Judge. Zimmerman has the right to have his attorney speak on his behalf and the judge denied that right. This, I'm sure will be grounds for a retrial if he is found guilty. From the way the judge worded her question and the manner in which she pressed the issue I can only assume she was coerced into acting as she did. She probably received pressure from the Justice Dept. to get his answer under oath. I've never heard of this type of behavior by a judge.

Again, you hit the nail on the head Willy, she isn't worth..... really? Really? Coercion is a crime, unless this particular Judge is well, mentally challenged.

Thanks Aquaman. It is a shame that a judge acts in this manner especially during a high profile trial.
