Does anyone know why Ryan Cox is no longer teaching at Ludington Area Schools?  He is working at Home Depot now.  The school district sent a letter to parents before school started saying Mr. Cox would not be teaching during the 2015/2016 school year.  It seems like an interesting career move to go from a government job (teacher) to a retail employee.

Only child is usually spoiled and inherits all in the end. But I doubt that day is coming soon, and he may have already been cut-out of the deal, by virtue of his dynamic personality, and so forth, lol, and now over 800 views, must be some angels watching over this loon, lol.

Two reliable school sources now say this about Mayor Ryan Cox's recent leave from the Lud. Area School system: " inappropriate and unsuitable behavior with his students" as the reason for his departure. "Resign or be fired in public". More specifics available soon, and doesn't sound good now anyhow. Is now hiding in the Home Depot back room sweeping the floors, his new work progression these days.

And whereas the local news often and always tells us about our local citizens getting in minor trouble, they avoid any mention of these stories of actual interest.  Witness the recent coverage of a local black man getting picked up in August in the 900 block of S. Washington because he was wearing black clothing and possessing brass knuckles.

I don't know all the particulars, but from what has leaked out, it seems rather odd that the poor man's face and reputation gets dragged through the mire via the COLDNews, MCDP, and even the local radio stations, particularly since there appears to be no compelling reason I see for the LPD to originally detain and search the man.

They have no problem painting this guy with a broad brush, but yet the mayor and his wife have their share of problems in the background and its kept hush-hush.

I have compiled some more data on the mayor, it is incomplete, but it does detail some indiscretions and bad choices he made at the Ludington middle school.  Your sources are probably correct, and Mayor Cox's continued silence on the topic has resulted in wild stories uttered by the casual citizens of this town of his depravity.

Mayor Cox, despite what he campaigned for, is not for transparency in his private/professional life nor for the citizen's public records.

What is the over /under on stockboy Cox being hired by Gateway to Success, the new charter school located by Scottville when they open next year?

I  believe he would be a lead candidate  both for a teaching and for an administrative position seeing as his mayorship gig now gives him executive experience.

Nothing like having a morally challenged person on staff to keep the wheels greased with the local media.

After all isn't that the way things work around here.

I don't think Vegas or even the Little River Casino is doing over-under on the chances of Mayor Cox scoring that gig.  I would say there is a better chance of him going back to teach in Ludington in the fall of 2016, but I wouldn't be surprised if he took a longer sabbatical so he can devote more time to making the City of Ludington the best it can be, while offering you the best customer service at HD.

There's enough undercover stories going on in the city of Ludington to make a whole edition of the NATIONAL ENQUIRER , PEOPLE WANT TO KNOW!!!!!!! LOL

Students are allegedly hearing rumors in school and stating an alleged affair, and may or may not have been fired for  alleged misconduct. But, kids can be liars of course....

I don't know how true those rumors are but at the end of a recent council meeting there was a mystery woman that came over to the mayor and started rubbing his shoulders in a very suggestive way.  She was dressed like a woman in any case.

You had me going X until I examined the photo. That's just to funny.

On the serious side, no one knows what's going on with the Mayor and I don't think it's fair to print stories that can ruin someone's reputation when there are no facts to back them up. I'm not one of his fans but let's wait and see what the real story is behind his change of jobs.

Is she rubbing his shoulder or smacking him in the side of his head? LOL And I agree, no positive proof , stop throwing mud.

No one is slinging mud here that I have noticed, just relating the rumors that are already out there and representing them as rumors that are out there.

A lot of compelling facts are already known by those researching the information that point away from some of the most volatile rumors.  It is not a disputed fact that Ryan Cox was issued a written reprimand from his principal back in February for inappropriate conduct concerning two separate incidents and that he was investigated by the school for other allegations of impropriety in his teaching methodology at the same time.

This coincides with the time where he was likely realizing that he was having difficulties in his personal life.  People see the rudimentary facts of the situation and interpolate the details because he is the mayor of the secret society known as Ludington City Hall, the only city hall on record that has banned someone from going there (or to the adjoining police station) because they feared giving public records to him.

I hope no one is implying I am throwing mud on the Mayor. The Mayor's office is to be respected, and the person occupying that office has a responsibility to honor his position to the community, and to his own self-respect, first and foremost. I am simply a conduit of information here, what was reported to me is common knowledge by insiders, but still somewhat confidential, lots of hush on him right now. Maybe more information of interest and accuracy will be forthcoming soon. All I am saying is that any Mayor holding current office also has a obligation and lawful responsibility to act professionally in his conduct, both in the office, and in his profession, which is/was at the LAS system. If he did not act in accordance with proper conduct in any degree in his personal or professional life, then he should resign. To cover-up this issue with hush tactics, imho, just worsens the situation as it stands in the public eye. It was also rumored this late last summer, he moved out of residence with his wife, and moved into an apartment, and why? Maybe that's not germane to his Mayorship, but it is still interesting to note, and not favorable given his high profile position with Ludington.
